After watching this I trusted my instinct and bought one last week. Mine is 20yrs old with 150k and it's surprisingly quiet on rough roads. My steering isn't loose my body doesn't roll and as a non City dweller who lives off dirt roads, I found it's the best riding vehicle I've ever been in. It's very comfortable and feels like a pillow on rough roads at 50 miles an hour. It is a bit ridiculous for City people though. I pulled a semi truck and trailer off of a four-by-four only road yesterday. A Jeep showed up and turned around because he didn't knew he didn't have a prayer pulling a semi. These things are like a Jeep but for men. I get all the quirky things and the cheap gm stuff but for performance and reliability this thing is serious. By the way I'm getting 13 MPGs in the city.

One good thing about this vehicle is that it has tons of room inside for tools or to sleep in. It also has 8 bolt hubs that will be able to handle big tires and a semi floating 14 bolt rear axle on coils with link suspension. Sturdy and decent clearance.

I loved my H1 and H2! The H2 is nothing like the H1. Completely different. Both had plus and minus. I would bet most H2 buyers never rode in a H1.

I drove one for about a year and to be feir quite comfortable . Just like driving sitting in your house's sofa with a head window. Amazing when you drive on a highway overseeing the ocean. The gas mileage is awful but fun and comfortable overall.

Sitting on 24s or the off road look. Where im from back in the day these things had respect and people would move out of your way. Maybe he got bullied by a hummer owner or ran off the road haha

My Hummer H2 with a 6" Lift, Supercharger and 38" tires was the vehicle I miss the most. It was very off-road capible.

I saw an H2 that was lifted and boy did the engine sound awesome these vehicles get 500,000 miles and that is really reliable that's if you keep maintenance and of course enjoy the hefty belt Hummer because it weighs between 6500 and 8500 lb and that is a really good connection to the Earth and great traction it being so heavy and getting through a lot of rough terrain. I really like this vehicle and the reason it gets 11 miles to the gallon is because it's so heavy they're just isn't anything that much heavier than this and it's got some nice curves the way it's laid out and it just looks very intimidating and a really good machine to drive off road. Thanks for the review I might buy one of these.

I spent a few months researching the 2017 cars and trucks to decide which to buy. I knew I was going to buy something, but I had to wait for an investment check to come through so I figured why not use the time to be sure what I wanted and be happy with the purchase. HANDS DOWN the H2 RANKED LAST in every review I looked at. The warranty claims were TWO per automobile! (As compared to one in ten thousand for the Camry.) Sadly, Land Rover did really bad as well. Now when I see either of those on the road I think: “Aah, More money than common sense.”

I have a H3 and i absolutely love it. Yes the visibility is not well but you have to understand it is still a hummer. And always get offers on it. But I do have to agree with the very cheap plastic that used.

I've got a 12" lift with 42" tires on mine, black on black and trust me everyone loves it! People take photos and comment everywhere I go, never heard anything negative not once!

You’re entitled to your opinion but after 10 years of having an H2 i think every family should have one. Maybe not as their daily driver but as an all around utility vehicle. It will do anything you want. Pull a boat or bobcat…. go through mud but even better in snow. Perfect vacation vehicle…. the H2 got my family out of harms way during a flash flood while on vacation hundreds of miles from home. It has a hitch in the front where i have a removable winch. My H2 is an 03 with 240 thow miles …. i wouldn’t sell it for 50k because you can’t buy anything that will do what it can for less than 60k now…. you have many points that i can’t deny but the H2 is a tool and for what you can buy one for now it’s a steal and great investment…. good luck bro thanks for your content

I live in ireland and I just recently bought a 2003 H2 I've wanted on since I seen a white one in Spain in 2003,there was never many in ireland when they were new the most sold in ireland was in 2006 (when the banks were just giving money to any tom,dick or Harry) only 16 sold here that year and each costing €120,000 with the option to convert it to RHD for €15,000 but no one ever did I belive there to be only 4 or 5 H2s left in ireland,and maybe 3 H1s,I love my one and would never sell it its such an unusual vehicle here in ireland everyone loves it and us being such a little island most people here have never seen one in there life,so to me there very special 😁

Just bought a low miles h3 and I can’t wait to take it in the mountains on some trails. If your a city dweller, I’d stay away from them all. If you plan on some off reading, it’s definitely a good base to start with if you plan on upgrading some components.

I owned two H2’s over a ten year period- both bought new- put over 125,000 kms on them. Towed an Airstream and a Mastercraft for those years. Never had any problems except had to replace the plastic screw in for gas tank filling area- that is all. Loved them both especially the second one- an SUT- the pickup model. Has mileage not the best but much better than my G63- although that’s not saying much. Hard to believe anything being said by someone who rents a vehicle for a day or someone who has never owned an H2

Regarding the rim design and the tire inflation system on the H1: I don’t think it’s a bad thing. It’s a cool throwback to the original Hummer and I believe if any other car had something similar, Doug would like it and commend it. It’s not like a fake vent, intake or exhaust, it’s not supposed to make anyone think “oh look, that H2 has a central tire inflation system” and nobody even would (most people probably don’t know the story of it anyways). All in all, I think it’s a nice throwback and I like the way it looks

One of my neighbors as a kid, who was my dad’s friend had one of these in early 2000’s. He used to drive the absolute piss out of this, driving it everywhere and as kids, we loved riding in it because it was high up off the ground, you saw them in the movies and had a nice rumble to the exhaust. I remember he floored it every time he accelerated and had to get it serviced so many times. They also had a viper, old 60’s corvette and some other cool stuff. Ahh the mid 2000’s, pre-2008 were some wild times.

I have owned my h2 since 2006 and after 12 years it has been the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned and had basically no problems. Mine does not rattle like the one you drove and the seats are very comfortable even after a 17 hour straight drive from FL to MD. It is wide and so you can’t park in small lots. It is also tall and I took off the racks so I could fit in parking garages and my garage. The handles on the hood are what you grab to pull the hood up after you unlatch the side clamps. Honestly unless you own one and have experienced the long lasting durability, well your view is only limited to the short rental time.

Doug u hurt my feelings. I just got my liscense and along with it came a 2005 Hummer H2. It has a destroyer grey paint job off of a hellcat and a lift with 35’ tires. That thing is scary to drive on the road but it’s a beast and I don’t regret anything!

I have 2006 h3 hummer, with 200k miles on it still runs and drives perfect. Never had an issues I love it and it is very reliable awesome vehicle, be it winter summer or fall it's a headturner too!!!
