I used to be in love with Maserati’s when I was a kid. The early 2000’s V-8 sound sent chills down my spine. A year ago I sat in a 2015 quattroporte that was fully loaded and was extremely disappointed. They legitimately look/feel like well optioned Chrysler/dodges. Now I would never even consider one regardless of how cheap they got.

I would place this around $35-$50,000.

If you guys fast forward to when Doug starts driving the Maserati, he says a couple of very memorable things. He says he actually thinks it handles better than the Porsche SUV. And to me, the most important thing he said in the whole video was that in 3 years, when the car is a CPO and is going for 30k less than the original price, it will be hard to resist. Guess what? Maserati only has two good things, a cool logo and admittedly awesome exhaust. Not worth the $80k though. Should be using the money that’s going towards opening stores to redesign and upgrade the interior along with putting more value for the money.

I bought a 1 year old Maserati QP. Not sure if the Ghibli and Levante are just shitty, but mine has everything you would look for in a 160k vehicle, hand stitching etc. So far it hasn’t given me any issues as an everyday driver.

The 2021 Levante comes standard with the Blind Spot Alert in the side view mirrors with the base trim & it also has front & rear parking sensors standard now with the rear view camera. This was only the second model year for the Levante. They’ve been steadily improving it in subsequent model years clearly especially with the refresh for 2021

My dad drives a 2018 Maserati Levante GTS, the one with the v8 and epic brembos, and he loves it. I personally think that this car is really beautiful since it sounds orgasmic. Your POV is quite right in retrospect though. Fun fact, in 2018, the actually changed all the problems on the interior

Both my 2008 and 2016 Town and Country have the tailgate switch on the ceiling, along with the power side door switches. So this is not the "only" car to have this. It makes more sense to me than the dash to be honest. Also, I believe Chrysler got those window switches from Mercedes along with the WIN key fob that Mercedes used until recently. But I do agree that puts a cheap touch on an $80,000 SUV.

So a base RAV4 have more features than this Maserati... 🤭

Can’t remember ever seeing a Maserati Levante but to me it looks lika a Mazda CX-5. So I might have and just didn’t realize it.

I own one of these fabulous vehicles and it is the best car that I have ever driven and that includes Porsches, BMWs, Jags, Volvos, and a bushel of Lincolns. Mine is a Grand Lusso with a 424 hp twin turbo 3 ltr 6 and it goes like stink a sounds sweet. I live in the Canadian Rockies where we experience harsh winters and marginal road conditions and the Levante is a cocoon of comfort and a joy to drive. The multiple variety of controls were a bit confusing to begin with but make perfect sense when you get familiar with them. It has 5 ride heights and 6 drive modes that you can manually select on the fly or will be automatically selected according to your driving. Four large pistons pump it up 8 inches for serious off-road and if you exceed 185 km/hr it settles down, stiffens the suspension, opens up the flow-thru ground effects and hugs the pavement. I have installed the proprietary roof rack with Thule box or bike rack and a tow bar so I can haul my canoe or trailer. The exterior is gorgeous with lovely tan leather and a silk insert in the seats that heat and cool. It has all of the selectable safety features that you expect on a high end exotic and they work! I find the exterior design well balanced and the organic haunches and distinctive Maserati grill set it apart from the suv flock. It is in my mind one of the most appealing and capable vehicles in a very crowded segment and deserves more respect than it has received from jaded journalists! Try out the Trofio and be prepared to change your undies.
