I agree. The weapon durability in BotW is genius. My issue with it is that the weapons dont have ENOUGH durability. An increase of 33% or a way to upgrade weapons in the late game to be permanent maybe with the fairy fountains would go a long way.

I think the durability wouldn't be such an issue if it excluded an item or two. Primarily, the Master Sword. For some reason it has all the durability in the world for fighting Ancients and Calamity shit, but you hit a bokoblin three times and the sword of legend shatters, and you gotta wait for it to repair itself. It's perfectly fine if people like the durability system, but it would be greatly appreciated if we had the option to turn it off, or at least adjust it. Sure, branches and stuff are supposed to break easily. But there is no logic to an enemy being able to hit you hundreds upon hundreds of times with their weapon, but when it's in your hands, it breaks in ten or twenty hits. Hell, make it break for enemies as well, and when their weapon breaks, have them make a mad scramble for the closest weapon around. That could lead to interesting and fun situations in which you and the enemy lock eyes before running toward that branch in the distance to finish the fight, and who ever doesn't get it has to improvise or withstand the Assault. That would make the durability so much more fun, I feel.
