The Isle of Man has a long and vibrant history stretching back to the Mesolithic period. Located in the Irish Sea between Great Britain and Ireland, the island was influenced by Gaelic, Norse, Scottish, and English cultures throughout its past.
Key historical events include Viking conquests starting in the 9th century AD, Scottish rule in the 13th century, and English rule from the 14th century onward. The Isle of Man later became an important hub for smuggling and piracy. Today, much of the island’s colorful history and culture is still visible. This makes tourism a major industry. Popular tourist attractions include the Isle of Man Steam Railway, Snaefell Mountain, and the Laxey Wheel - one of the largest working waterwheels in the world.
Fans of motor sports also flock to the annual Isle of Man Tourist Trophy motorcycle races held on public roads since 1907. With its rich history, scenic landscapes, and array of family-friendly attractions, the Isle of Man continues to draw visitors from around the world.

I left the island in 79 came back with parents in 82 that was the last time i was there but i'm coming over in July this year can't wait bring my family

First went there in 1967,were hardly away from the place 1980/1990/2000s,dreamt of living there,still do,it may happen!
