Douglas Murray blasts ‘corrupt’ South African government

Author Douglas Murray has blasted the “corrupt” South African government following his trip to the country.
Mr Murray says the country has the “lowest education standards in Africa”.
“Somalis are better educated than South Africans,” Mr Murray told Sky News Australia.
“They’ve got more than 50 per cent youth unemployment.
“These are the sorts of real-world effects of misgoverning in a country.”

By lower the % pass rate, so u basically want to tell me u happy with Failing 2/3rds of Yr Exam Paper?! The ONLY Reason the Education Minister dropped that % was so they could obtain there own “internal” % pass targets, instead of hiring more Teachers & Offering struggling students extra lessons after school, which would help them, they say no let’s not do that, let’s just lessen the % pass rate, the ANC want to keep the Majority Illiterate ( if u don’t understand that word, basically keep the majority education/ iq at a low ) why do the ANC do this, it’s so so obvious, they want fro remain in power, offer a T-Shirt & 2/3 KFC Streetwise for a Votes, the Majority of SA needs to stand up against the ANC & Vote them OUT

Give it a rest, the World already knows and don't care, they have problems of their own. Try living abroad and see who cares about little old South Africa. You do not even know the struggle the World is going through economically. We also have pot holes in the UK, not so bad like South Africa but its starting because councils are going bankrupt and have to cut down on services and sometimes bins don't get collected for weeks, I had to complain a few times. School buildings are not maintained as they should, the list goes on and you want people to feel sorry for South Africans. See the response the USA gave DA with their foolish letter about observers to the election. Do yourself a favour and start working with other communities to improve South Africa because no-one is coming to your rescue.

I live in jhb Here's some stats: 27000 murders, 12% investigated(more than civilian deaths in Gaza) Bankrupt State owned enterprises (state monopoly electricity, water, ports, defense) Zondo commission on state capture named senior ANC government officials in parliament with no arrests yet the ANC in 6 weeks after Oct 7 put a legal team together to go to the ICJ. The court declared a sheriff's order to cease R100m of ANC assets as they failed to pay for the previous election campaign yet after the ICJ hearing the money mysteriously appeared The ANC threatened to leave the ICC if the ICC pressed a warrant of arrest against Al Bashir, who the ANC harbored in the country, who was to be tried for genocide crimes. Mysteriously he left south africa shortly after with no investigation

Look at the contrast Orania, small town in the middle of nowhere, 99% Conservative White Afrikaans population. Crime levels so low that the Police Station closed down years ago. Kleinfontein... similar. Odd how among some cultures the crime rates are so low that the Police has no job, and yet that is the population that the Liberal West say is the "problem".

@@yourfriendlyneighbourhoods8202 Well of course - it is well established that with larger populations that the crime rates increase. Now I lived in small towns and cities in South Africa. Grew up in Letsitele / Tzaneen area. I am now in my fifties. So I have first hand knowledge of the changing demographics and its impact. The simple fact is that the demographics and culture has a bigger correlation than just purely the number of people in the city. Do apples to apples and oranges to oranges comparison. When I lived in Pretoria - Sunnyside and Arcadia area in the 1986 - 1994 time period - the crime rates was low. It was basically whitey city back then. After 1994 of course to current the demographics of that area totally changed to basically 90% the demographic that may never be blamed. So how did the area change? Well - for example the excellent block of flats - Schubart Park in mid Pretoria that was a very modern well maintained block of flats that had a big swimming pool, clinic, shops etc - is now condemned. Even the door and window frames ripped out of the building. Same for the barracks in Pretorius street that I stayed in when I was in the Police. Sunnyside and Arcadia I would be careful of getting out of a car at night time now. I live in Centurion - still majority white area in Pretoria. Lot less crime, but there is house invasions, break-ins, robbery.... but you can guess which demographic that may never be blamed is the ones that is committing the crimes. So... Try again.

Would you mind to share with us what SA was like economically, socially, politically? Me and you by law could not crap in the same toilet have access to the same jobs, beaches, restaurants neighborhoods etc. My children and I live in neighborhoods today their grandparents and forbears could only clean before. We now have jobs that were reserved for whites irrespective if they were illiterate. My kids went to schools that were reserved for these racists. Under the ANC, there is basically not a single state owned enterprise that isn't falling apart, ranging from electricity and water supply, rail and road infrastructure, health, education, sanitation, etc. The only things that works effectively is the revenue services to ensure that their corruption can be bank rolled...

I am a South African and we have we have been on a steady decline since 1994 when the ANC came into power. We now have to fund private security in our homes because the police force is ineffective and corrupt. We have to fund private education because the state schools are absolutely useless - I pay about $18500 per year for my two sons to attend private school. We have to fund our own electricity through inverters or solar systems due to the failure of the state owned grid collapse. We have to fund our own water in some areas due to state run water supplies being contaminated. We have to fund private medical aids for private hospitals because our state run hospitals are unable to cope with the volume - people die in the corridors waiting for help. And on top of this we have to pay exorbitant taxes for services that we don’t receive. The ANC have not delivered on any of their promises to their supporters but continue to get voted in because they are seen as the liberation party. They rely on the uneducated masses to keep them in power so there is no benefit to educate the youth because as soon as they do, they will be voted out by educated voters. Politicians drive around in luxury vehicles and live in mansions with private security funded by the tax payer and corruption, while the majority live in poverty with the threat of violent criminals ever present. What a sad state we find ourselves in because of the ANC.

In the case of South Africa to watch their foreign minister plus ambassadors, plus a hefty well dressed expensive legal delegation spouting forth about crimes against humanity is like watching the mafia pleading innocence and poverty to the pope. They’ve completed a state capture commission of enquiry which identified some 90 of their ANC MPs as being involved in looting government coffers. Their previous state president has been running rings around the legal system for two decades on his corrupt dealings. And yet they have time to put a posse together and arrive at The Hague whilst their own house burns.

There's growing support for a movement against eff and anc. Anc Thabo Mbeki even came out the other day to chastise the ANC, ANC youth league and EFF. When I look at the changes and synergies between the two, I can't see much cause for optimism. I live in Queensland now but visited Sydney last year. Walking around Circular Quay was like being in a foreign country. Multiculturalism can work to a degree for decades but eventually ends in tears. My sister lives there, and the adjacent suburb is basically 'no go' for non-Muslims (particularly women). Other suburbs dominated by people of one foreign country or another. If anyone thinks that's a good thing, then I don't know what to tell them.
