The answer is 'You', yes, I enjoy, very much your travels and your narrowboat and presentation, but the main draw for me is your relationship, you both contribute complimenting strengths, with both of you, keeping me watching. Fortunately, for me, I also have had a long-lasting relationship, with my wife, being 56 years, but this comment is about you two, so, long may you enjoy your travels and sharing them with everyone, god bless, Digby.

Good luck with the ankle Rich, I badly tore the ligaments in my ankle when I was in my twenties. I am now in my sixties and very occasionally still step of a kerb or do something equally innocuous and twist it again and it swells up. I was also told you'll wish you broke it, as I didn't I can't confirm that, for the most part it is good though.

It was I that passed on NB Serenity in Wheelock & later. Hope you got those plants under that low bridge ahead of you ok. That's if you moved 👍 Heartbreak hill was hard going in this heat yesterday. We did 26 locks..lol. Great to see you out finally.

I assume the lovely Italian restaurant you mentioned is the Barchetta at Wheelock. We stop there every time we go through, it's great - and an outside area if you have dogs with you. Can't wait to get back on our boat, less than two weeks now before we can sleep on board and go properly cruising again.

The house was built by William Lowndes in about 1760 in two phases. The central block was built in the middle of the century, and the wings were added later, probably in about 1768. It is possible that the architect for both phases was William Baker. The house continues to be in private ownership.

The boat looks better own every episode - really interesting to see all of the things over the last couple of years (flooring, walls, kitchen tile, cabinets, the paint, etc). Hope you both stay safe and healthy and get some wonderful opportunities to enjoy the weather!

Make sure you've stocked up on whatever insect repellant you use, there some areas along here where we've been the main course for the local mosquitoes and horse flies, both on the antihistamines but some of debs bites have turned a bit nasty

It's a very hot day here as I watch you cruising in the heat. So, you have my sympathy. Hope you found the cold beer.

I love the plants on top of the boat!! Those locks (or whatever they are called) look heavy, though you both seem to have the entire process down. I really enjoy the scenery and seeing the dogs!!! I honestly can't think of a better way to spend retirement or during the crazy times our world is in right now. Curious if you have everything you own on the boat or if you store some of your things elsewhere? I'm new and still digging thru all of your videos, so maybe you mention it somewhere. I would have such a hard time consolidating my things to fit I think. :) Though I like the idea of being more of a minimalist!!!! Stay safe and healthy. Can't wait to see more!

82F is mild here in sunny Tennessee, however August is a bit warm 100-108 F sometimes hotter.

I believe that this video surpassed being a great vlog and jumped right in to artistry! Fantastic, and I wonder if you will ever be able to repeat it. Maybe it was the lighting from early morning, or a good microphone or I don't know. I almost staggered watching the lock fill, at one point. And coming out from under the bridge with those cows watching your progress was comical. And nothing like ruining the moment by trying to dissect the genius. Besides, I feel almost dirty going on about it. No, I don't need to borrow a tenner. Being the Queen of Crumbling Bones and old sports injuries, I am putting my bossy cap on. It is brilliant that you are creating your own physical therapy regimen. If you could find a way to stop when it begins to hurt but before it starts to swell up, you would have it. But if it is swelling up and if it still hurts after a particular movement, you are re-injuring the leg. Try to find a better stopping point while still pushing the limit. I will say that the therapists I have worked with over the years will increase my time or repititions and hold there then increase again after however many sessions. I will admit to pushing past pain thinking I will make it stronger and getting an earful. It is hard not to do. So there is a but of the pot and the kettle in what I am saying. 😇 One thing a therapist had my daughter do when she injured an ankle was to write the alphabet with her big toe. The different angles she stretched her ankle doing this was really good for her range of motion. She hated it. She was just jumping into the 'I hate my mother ' age and I told her that she could get away with calling me all sorts of things if she was writing it with her toe. She liked that and that ankle got some real workouts! Now, at 40+, I know that I am starting to irritate her when she starts moving her ankle around. While she continues to injure it, it is in some ways stronger than her good ankle.

I was at Chirk Marina on the Llangollen last Thursday, no boat rentals till 13th/14th July at the earliest because of Welsh Govt restrictions. Don't know if this may affect facilities for you when your on this canal so thought I'd give you the heads up!

Hey Fran & Rich My name is Charlie Walker . I don’t know if you remember but a few months back just before the lockdown I sent you a message on messenger about tape for Riches ankle called KT Tape . I see Rich still has a problem with his ankle , you should try it ( the tape ) it’ll give your ankle support and keep the swelling down . I also sent you video of how to apply it in my message on messenger. If you want to try it get the KT Tape Pro , it’s water proof so you can shower with it on . Just clean your skin with rubbing alcohol and let dry before you put it on and it should stay on for 3 days before it starts peeling off . They sell it on Amazon UK .

The stop lock at the Bird was two locks. I'm shore but but I think you may have a shot out of sinc , the black and white house . Warning the mooring at the Donkey can be a little sweet at muck spreading time.
