Excellent work, being a native hill driver I would like to add a point. Always leave way for up hill vehicle, specially in hairpin bend. We should not go forward just because we can reach there 1st..

Great video on hill driving !. I would recommend not to overtake on hill roads especially in Yelagiri, roads are very narrow. One can overtake only to bypass very slow moving vechiles and that too need to be done very cautiously. Maximum speed i would recommend 30 to 40 kmpl.

@@cawrykewl I'm sorry you are wrong. AMT do roll back when the accelerator or brake is not pressed. You can experience this by riding an AMT vehicle. Only a few of them come with hill hold assist

Andha time la AMT vehicles ah stop panrathuku entha possibilities um illa. May be manual vehicle ah iruntha gear ah down pannalam. Budget cars la irukurathu verum AT(auto transmission) transmission than. Andha type transmission la namba manual ah gear shifting panna mudiyathu.

Kodaikanal hill road width was short ( Palani to Kodaikanal) and single lane only available in most of the places while comparing to yelagiri hill road. So please drive carefully. But other side ( Batlagundu to kodaikanal ) route is good while comparing to Palani to kodaikanal.

Yes Physics Professor I have that experience. இதே ஏலகிரி downhill straight road ல இறங்கும் போது engine off பண்ணிட்டு drive பண்ணேன். Luckily hairpin bend க்கு முன்னாடி break புடிக்குதானு check பண்ணேன். To my surprise break சுத்தமா பிடிக்கல. உடனே engine on பண்ணி break புடிச்சி வண்டிய slow பண்னேன். இல்லனா நான் இன்நேரம் photo ல தான் இருந்திருப்பேன். Thanks for your tips professor. நிறைய பேருக்கு useful லா இருக்கும். 🙏

It is a good video, hope it will helpful for freshers. I think, with out properly using the engine brake, using footbrake or service brake frequently what will be the adverse effects, importantly , that is need to be added.

Dear Birla - I'm a new subscriber to your channel and enjoying one by one of your videos. All are really useful stuffs, thank you. During the hill drive, I had seen some larger trucks\buses take a turn in the opposite side too. This happens in steep and hair pin bends and I also forced to take the wrong route viz. instead of left to left from right to left in such occasions. Can you advise too ?

Quite detailed series with introducing the precautions, uphill and downhill. While driving uphill should we apply break first or clutch first? While driving downhill should we apply break first or clutch first

I think the moment you apply clutch engine will be disengaged and like free wheel for moment. So better break first. For a slow moving case, it might vary.

Missing Main One : i watched ur both uphill and downhill videos sir. all are good sir. My request is, while turning in the hairpin bend bus or lorry will come. in case of uphill driving in the right hairpin bend, the apposite vehicle like bus or lorry will come in our lane. that time, how we drive. that same situation in downhill driving in the left hairpin bend vice versa.

I don't know about buying from cars 24 ...but never sell your car ...they will ask for aleast a lakh less than its value and rip you off..if you check selling estimate and used car buying price in same cars 24 ..you will get it ...just for awareness nothing against cars 24 or brother's channel
