I love listening to you play man. And watching how you do it. I purchased a few lessons and I'm learning but my timing isn't there yet. Fantastic job!

What is the difference between a roll and a lick?
@MikeHeddingMusic
@MikeHeddingMusic 4 жыл бұрын
A roll is a certain fingerpicking pattern. Like thumb, index middle. Or thumb, index, thumb, middle. A lick is short musical idea that can be used in different situations (many times made up of a roll or multiple rolls). - Mike

Hello Mike, it would be great to hear just the banjo and the metronome. Sometimes the background guitar can be distracting. Great channel and content anyway

Sure, I can easily do that. Send me an e-mail and I can send you the tracks if you want just banjo/metronome.

You did no down the neck scales or chords. You basically stayed up near the frets
@MikeHeddingMusic
@MikeHeddingMusic 6 жыл бұрын
We might be using the term down-the-neck differently. In banjo, down-the-neck normally refers to lower notes (frets 1-5) where up-the-neck would be higher notes (frets 8 and above). If you're looking for up-the-neck backup I've done several videos on that and you can search my channel. Thanks. - Mike
