Thank you so much! it still works for me in 2022, I recommend this to everyone with same problem just follow everyting carefully and it will work. I upgraded to emui 11 and google play store showed me my phone wasn't google supported, if that shows up, clear all and force stop all google services/apps, than restart and download update

Thank you very much! My phone automaticly updated to emui 12 and it slowed down my phone and the "keyboard" not always showed up or closed itself randomly and I had a tons of other annoying bugs but thanks to you I could downgrade to emui 10

@@dejandejan5792 pozdrav, radi, 3 puta sam ja ovaj proces sa snimka ponavljao i svaki put je radilo ali nemam vise taj telefon tako da ne mogu da tvrdim da radi i u ovom trenutku. Treba reci da ako zelis da resetujes telefon na fabricka podesavanja sve se brise i moras da prodjes kroz ceo proces ispocetka.

I am using emui 12 with all GSM. If you are on 12 now just follow this video and then the video to downgrade to 10 to allow you to install GSM. These videos are a lifesaver as I love my Huawei P40 Pro

How do you know if you need to downgrade with a dload file first or if you can dowgrade EMUI 11 with HiSuite proxy to the desired EMUI 10 firmware direcly? Which Error does the HiSuite produce if the downgrade is not possible? Thanks for your help.

Good afternoon. HiSuite downloaded the firmware and uploaded it to the tablet. But the firmware process does not start on the tablet because it gives an error and suggests asking the Emui website for help. What could be the problem?

I have a Huawei Mate 10 Pro that still supports all Google services. Recently my phone updated to Emui12 and for the first time in 4.5 years I'm experiencing loads of problems I never had before. My phone is laggy, battery life is half of what is was before Emui12, my phone overheats now and so on... I really hope that reverting to Emui11 will give me back my beloved device. Hope this works.

@@creepio38 it was fine again but I decided I wanted a new phone so I bought the Honor Magic 5 Pro. It uses Magic OS 7.1 over Android 13, looking like Emui12. I kept the Mate10pro as a back up device for now.

@@rayek2000 I'm using Huawei nova 7 as of now, and downgrading to emui 11 earlier in my situation is a very big mess, Gaming performance went downhill. I guess I'm just gonna stick with emui 12 for now and pray this will get emui 13. But nonetheless, What a beast of a new phone you got there GZ!

Thank you! I just managed to downgrade from 12 to 10, put the Google on. I would like to upgrade again to 12, but no usb connection. Any advice? And if I would have connection, which is the best way to upgrade? With Hisuite? Thank you community for your help in advance!

So, its not working anymore. After 1 hour, it says " this device isn't play Protect certified." Actually I did not do anything I was just searching for the USB solution. It happened already once, then I made everything from the beginning, the last lasted longer. Any advice on what I did wrong?

If you just watch video till the end USB connection is already explained. Just update your phone to the latest version ota. To fix notifications use my video about that.

Hi, how do you go about recovering the data that you've backed up before the roll back? I've been able to successfully roll back to EMUI 10 and get googlefier working. Now I'm in the process of slowly upgrading my EMUI back to 12. But I'm a bit scared to hit the recovery from HiSuite on my computer to recover all the data that used to be on my phone (photos etc). Will the recovery affect the GMS and will I basically lose everything I've done? Or will the GMS be unaffected and only the user data restored? Thanks in advance

I just copied all my pics and files to pc and put them back in phone when ready. You can use Hisuite to backup just don't backup apps and settings.

Ah. That seems so logical and smart way of going about it now. ... Except I'm too late for that because I've already backed it up to HiSuite only and not the physical files to the pc. Haha. Thanks for.the detailed instructions, but is there a way to roll back to 11 (on a p20pro) without losing all the data and apps? I have been experiencing multiple freezes and restarts on emui 12 but i still have too much personal content on the phone to start again from scratch... Thanks again

Two questions does this method work on phones that already have preinstalled EMUI 12 for example Y70- Y90 Nova and what data is gonna get erased if you manage to downgrade will you also lose the apps that you installed and system settings or just standard photos, videos, music, documents and so on ??

Did finish downgrading to emui 10 and was able to install the gms. Now I'm on my way to emui 12. So, do we need to disable the auto update for play services or something like that? I mean, to make sure that we have gms for as long as possible.

Better disable auto updates but can't give you 100% answer because Google constantly updated holes.

Probably you used hisuite proxy before and your custom server settings are still there. Uninstall hisuite and install the version provided in video description.

Hi, i need your help i have a huawei p 30 lite its updated to EMUI 12 lasr week, i noticed that it updated all the apps automatically. The huwaei music app last version lack certain features cimpared to and older vesrion i had, so i went to setting i installed all the uodates on the app and wanted to update to a certain version so i have the update package installed and it wouldn't install the version i want not even I'm able to update it to the last version, can't even find the app in the huawei app gallery or google play store, I'm really frustrated because now I'm stuck with the app oldest version and don't know what to do, please help!

Hi, i've tried this method, but didn't work. I've tried some different Hisuite versions, but Hisuite now, only allow me to downgrade to Emui10 and nothing more. The EMUI 11 doesnt show on Hisuite now. I want the EMUI 11 back... do you have any idea ? ps: Im using a Huawei P Smart 2019 - if thats matters Because with Emui 12 im frustrated since "close/reload" the apps, when i switch from app to app. I need to search all over again, if i minimize a tab, and open him again. Example: If you have reading something on Facebook/ Instagram / etc, if you minimize the app, when you re-open the app, just simple gone, and go to the main page, not the page you are watching ( i think for sure you know what i mean) Its madness use the Android like this, Emui12 reset the app, every time you minimize. From what i've remember i've never had issues in earliest EMUI versions, that problem doesn't happen. ( PS: i've already tried everything on EMUI12 settings - Developer options - but no luck - apps keeps closing/resetting when i switch between tabs)

I have install GMS on my P40 Pro Plus model ELS-N39. First downgrade with Hisuite to EMUI 11. Second downgrade to EMUI 10 using Hisuite Proxy. All was functionnal. I have update now to EMUI.12 with OTA (multiple update to do)

As said in the video USB connection loss is part of Huawei security to prevent downgrade. It will be back if you update.

You will get your usb connection if you update it back to the version before you dowgrade. In other say that you cant downgrade it 😅. Thats my experience. If you still want the downgrade version, you have to accept the fact that no usb connection 😔

It was working but since the video was released and Huawei pushed so many fixes which forbid us to downgrade I'm not sure. And with GBox and GSpace it's meaningless

Here in this video, you went to XDA-developers link and downloaded EMUI 11 for P40 pro, and didnt said how us who dont have p40pro to find right EMUI 11 for our other devices...

I already at the last part to install the EMUI 10 on hisuite. Tried everything install and Uninstalled all hi suite version. Till I get update to newer versions BUT NO OPTION TO SWITCH TO OLDER VERSION. I think no longer possible to Emui 10 anymore. Or maybe try to do with flashing on USB. ROSS if you have time do new video. Although this is not a request Ross.

What I mean mate is I don't see a switch to older version in hisuite only the update to newer version. I have tried it several times but no luck. I am on the last part to install the EMUI 10.

You are doing a great job pal. you helped me adding google services on my old p40 pro. But now i got my new mate 40 pro and i cant find any solution rolling back to emui 11. It is just impossible. I didnt mention i m using international ver. Any clues?

Only possible solution is to use Gspace. Mate 40 Pro doesn't support native google services.

You can downgrade but even downgraded you can't install GMS

@@SystemHacks I think if you downgrade back to emui 11 , you are able to install Harmony. Using harmony there is a chance to install GMS. The thing is i cant find anywhere how to downgrade back to emui 11. Using hisuite and firmfinder doenst work,i tried by downloading few emui 11 versions using OTG and in the instalation it comes failure

Sadly your device zis for Chinese market and emui 12 is not supported. Keep in mind that EmUI 12 is based on harmony os.

@@SystemHacks your right, i even tried rooting it so that i can install android 12, but nomata what i tried to root the device failed, i just gev up, i waned to root it and use custom roms that i find randomly like for start android 12 bse i like it but the device failed to be rooted i gev up, but your right it's Chinese model n btw it does strange things I've neva seen, like if i choose to use lets say uk region, it all turn away from all Chinese stuff n adopt uk style in its default apps, same thing happens when u go use other regions, but recently Chinese servers stoped me from doing that, they said i hard changed to too many regions 30times in last 90 days so it blocked me from doing that so now I'm stack with Chinese region, altho i like it's music player app in Chinese region it kinder gives you all lyrics to any music your listening to that these other regions neva offer from there servers any way, any ideos

@@SystemHacks and if EMUI 12 is based on harmony so what your saying, the problems i got from harmony most likely i will find them in EMUI 12 i get you, it keeps notifying me to upgrade to harmony os but i turned off the automatic update option so i keep turning it down from Upgrading to harmony os, the sound I'm telling you was very poor on my WH-1000XM4 headphones and when i down graded it to EMUI 11, the sound is perfect i love it, i guess I'm stack to EMUI 11 till a buy another beta phn that will help me explore noce roms out there

I'm not sure about your problems but harmonyos is specific for Chinese market and maybe your problems are related with that. Better stay with emui 11

I bought the Huawei Nova 9 hoping that maybe I could use Google on the Nova 9 like the P40 Pro. But after trying so many times since bringing it today, I still can't. When I go to the update option from Hisuite, it just shows my current build number, but "switch to other version" doesn't show this option. So can't find anything to downgrade. I can't find any file to downgrade Nova 9 from Huawei firmware finder. Now you are the only hope for Huawei Nova 9 users like me. Please release a system like using Google on Huawei Nova 9.

Nova 9 is new device you can't downgrade to a supported version because it was born with emui 11. Only phones released before July 2020 can do this. As a conclusion use GSpace or GBox 👍

@@vercomds6684 It got rather complicated so I messaged the lead Forum member on XDA if he could assist me and after paying a small fee, he was able to (with teamviewer) sort it out all for me with the downgrade, installing all google services as well as the notification fix. I would highly recommend if he can't fix it or get it to work he refunds as well! Amazing guy!

Currently on emui 12 c185. As soon as it hits 100% I get installation failed. Tried the red hisuite and added multiple different firmware versions of emui 11 but still having the same problem. Please help
