* Downhill Skiing at Canyons Village in Utah
* 2023 Review of Canyons Village at Park City
* Best Ski Resorts in Utah
Let me give you 3 reasons to plan a ski trip to Utah ASAP!
a. Utah has the “Greatest Snow on Earth”.
b. Park City Mountain is the largest ski resort in the United States.
c. We’re getting record amounts of snowfall this season!
Trails in this video:
1. Echo
2. Apex Ridge
3. Chicane
4. White Pine & Chrome Alley
5. Harmony
6. Another World
7. Raptor Way
Today, I’m skiing at Canyons Village at Park City.
This season, we’re getting record amounts of snowfall and…I’m skiing better than ever before!
So, I’m excited to show you some new fun & challenging trails.
If you’re not familiar with the story, Park City Mountain was purchased by Vail Resorts in 2014. It then merged with neighboring Canyons Resort via an interconnect gondola to create the largest lift-served ski resort in the U.S.
Even though Park City is more well-known, I prefer Canyons Village. It’s actually quite a bit bigger…and gets better reviews on Google.
To my disappointment, the Park City base area has moved to a parking reservation system this season.
So, I’ve decided to spend most of my time at Canyons Village, which offers free parking in the Cabriolet Lot.
Even though skiing at Canyons wasn’t my original plan…I’m really falling in love with this resort!

ABOUT ME:
► I grew up in Kalamazoo, MI and graduated with a Marketing degree from Oakland University.
► I moved to Longmont, CO in November 2016 and fell in love with all the beautiful hiking trails that Colorado has to offer. So, in April 2012, the Nash Potatoes Outdoor Show was born.
► In November 2019, I took a 4-month camping trip in my pop-up camper. This gave me an opportunity to travel, explore, unwind, and create lots of great videos.
► In December 2020, I began recording a series of downhill skiing videos in Colorado. These quickly became popular and my passion for KZfaq was re-ignited!
► I actually had so many great memories of my first camping trip that I decided to do another one. So, in April 2021, I converted a 12-foot enclosed trailer into a camper and documented the whole process.
► In June 2021, I reached 1,000 subscribers and was able to monetize my channel.
► By January 2023, I was already at 2,000 subscribers and counting!
► The Nash Potatoes Outdoor Show allows me to share all of my experiences with you. Join me on my adventure as I talk about life, laughter, exploration, and creating content for KZfaq...enjoy!

Thanks for doing this - I had to give up skiing due to health issues - but I loved skiing at Canyons and Park City. I lost my go pro footage from the last trip - so this is fun to watch.

You went past one of the best blue runs on the entire mountain... Mercury. It is off of the Iron Mountain Express. A great way to end the day is to take the Orange Bubble to the half way point and ski Lookout Ridge. Normally it will still have great snow even at 3 pm. Do 3-4 laps towards the end of the day and then easy access to leave. Most people ski Doc's Run, but Lookout Ridge is much better for carving since it has a decent pitch and proper fall line. Also a relatively short runout back to the chair. Even with taking a 15-20 second "breather" to let you legs rest before the final pitch on the run, you can easily do 8 minute laps. Pound out that final 4-5k vert.

That Apex Ridge run was so scary when I did it years ago. I have been on double blacks that weren't as hard - those cliffs and that view were so distracting.

I absolutely recognize myself in you. Even when I’m completely beat and everything hurts, I will go one more time. I share solidarity in the grunting and self motivation. I’m not alone! :)

Apex ridge is a bit tricky the first couple times because there are a lot of ungroomed blacks that go off of it and it's easy to end up on one if you don't stop often to re-center your bearings 😣 But once you are familiar with the layout and build up the thigh muscles, it's a great cruiser that's like a roller coaster! I'd recommend doing it earlier in the day though BEFORE your legs get tired lol Thabks for the video!
