I was watching quite a lot of other videos, mainly containing some CMD stuff as I did not wanted to download new Office installer and all of them, but honestly this F-ing words like a charm :D I would adress 2 problems I ran into with this guide: 1) you NEED to be on the en-us website as other countries CANT download the deveoper version 2) running powershell in your folder is done by holding keys alt+f/s/a Amazing guide, you are amazing, keep it up!

Thanks. But i keep getting this error message "Couldn't install--We couldn't find the specified configuration file. Check the file path and file name" Besides, running the setup file as an admin, the [four] supposed .xml files come out without the "xml." instead, they had the Microsoft logo. Even the setup file didn't have the "exe." tags. Thinking that could be the issue, i renamed them with the supposed tags, yet it didn't work. Any fix? I'll appreciate

That is not a problem. Right click on the file and look for open with Notepad. Then you will be able to see the content in the file.

Sorry to hear that. During configuration I am sure you removed "Project" from the XML file. Otherwise, it would have been activated too. I suggest you just enjoy what works for now.

HI Why when you down load the xml file it come as edge html file Edge logo, search properties it says its an xml file.but it wont read the file, style command issue. this all appended after 04/02/24.

If I got your question correctly, the file shows Edge logo because that is your default browser. You can open it by right clicking on it and open with notepad or any other text editor you prefer.

@syntax_flow sorry but no, I'm google chrome man. Since I upgrade reinstalled win 10 04/02/24 and tried to reinstall office 2021, I've had this problem. I want to include project, At the end you click export agree click middle option to down load in xml. It downloads comes with Edge logo edgehtml. Most of the people who've download saying it works are months old. I've not seen anybody after Feb, 24 comments. Searching net their is an issue, MS change things Edge easier platform for other software to work. Now, if I download with project, down load without it, different message when you view the file. But both say there's a style issue. You can change the Edge logo in properties to Explorer then the file shows it as xml, but it still won't work. Peter

It happens like that in some computers. This means that some elements of the previous version was still in your computer system's registry.

...I wouldn't suggest you alter the registry by going after the remnants of the previous office version, but doing so will likely correct the issue.

You need to right click within the folder where the files are downloaded, look for "Open in Terminal" in the context menu and click it. After that, the Power Shell should be open.

Thank you. My windows didn't have the option to open powershell in new window but I found a way around it. Type powershell where the parent directory of the folder is then click enter. This automatically opens the folder on powershell

It is about opening PowerShell in the folder your installation files are. So what you do is to simply right click anywhere in the folder you downloaded office installation files and then select PowerShell Window from the popup menu.

In that case, you may need to create a Microsoft account. Login and go through the process all over again. Note: uninstall the current MS office, restart your computer and then try the installation again.

Click on the start menu of your Windows computer, search for Control Panel, then look for Program Features. Now you should see a list of installed programs. Carefully look for Microsoft Office and then right click on it and select uninstall.
