Hi Mike Thank you. I think that's right on the disturbed patch. Not many effects. Are you saying the amp model is not on?? If that's the case then it means you need to update the POD because thes presets are using the last POD update 2.0 which added a couple more models. My disturbed patch may be using a new model that does not exist in your POD unless you are running the 2.0 firmware. Could this be the problem??

Should I expect the same sound as per your video?? the patches I downloaded seem to work, they just sound real trebly no "balls" to them if you know what I mean.... Jim Penz Hi Jim, Actually I think you can just drag and drop the bean patches into the HD500 Edit screen and they will load. I've heard of people doing that and it works. Send me a PM if you want.

Thank you very much. All you have to do is disable that quick delay in the amp block I have. Also you might try switching to Combo Front out mode, That gives you a global EQ that can help shape your sound. It's really hard to have the same patches that will sound good going direct and into an amp at the same time. That's why I had to develop different sets of patches for use with an amp.

+Marc Cerrato You first have to go to the Boss website and download and Install the ME-80 drivers and then the Tone Studio software. Then once that is done you can hook up the ME-80 and you Import the file that is in that zip file you downloaded.

Make sure the input is set to guitar and not mic or variax.

You'd probably want something that is a very flat response like a Friedman ASM 12 or something like that. The only I would it with a Spider would be to go into the FX return totally bypassing the preamp of the spider. You wouldn't want the HD Pro ruining into the Preamp of the spider.

ok cool. I was hoping that the patches I have built into the Pod pro X and the patches I have gotten from the Line 6 community could simply be dropped and dragged from the pod hd pro x edit to something like the Spider Iv edit. I have found some really cool tones that im stoked with but when I try and the drop / drag method its like the spider iv edit doesn't read it, or should I simply buy another pod hd pro or pro x just so I can use the same patches on each unit

By the way Line 6 gear rocks - I really dig their stuff :-)

Thank you Russell. Well you'll need the software from Line 6. I think it's called Gearbox. You can find it on their website.

Hmmm, I think either the HD500X or the GT-100 would be a good choice but you should at least try both to see how you like the GUI on each unit. Don't just take my word for it.

You have to have the driver installed on your laptop or it won't recognize the HD500. Go to Line 6 site and get the driver for your unit and operating system and install it. Then try hooking it up again after you have installed the driver. It should work then.

+Marc Cerrato Pretty much the same just different software. First thing is to install the drivers from boss onto your computer and then the Tone Studio software and then connect the ME-80.

Henri I'm sorry but I am not affiliated with Line6 in any way therefore I can't offer Line6 Tech Support. You would do much better by going straight to the Line6 Forums. There are many many knowledgeable people who can help you.

No for this unit you need something called the Line 6 Monkey. It's like an early version of the no Line 6 Updater.

You would have to remove something to get more dsp back.

Yes you can actually save these to your POD Unit.
