*We tried this out finally yesterday and it worked awesome! **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s we put it on our 16 foot aluminum boat and trolled with it. We didn’t catch anything but it was still fun and worked awesome! Can’t wait to use this baby again and hopefully reel in a big ole fish! Very easy to install and set up.*

White is last color to fade at depth. Next is red. This make white, red and white/red combos good for deep water. They simply are most visible at depth. Then pink, orange and green.

Love the vids! Do u jig this time of the year at all? If so, I was wondering what would be a good depth to jig at?
@SuperiorAngling
@SuperiorAngling 4 жыл бұрын
Yeah we jig quite often! Typically 80-120 feet is best this time of year.

When you suggested placing a white spoon near bottom. Do you suggest that when fishing 120 feet of water like when departing out of Duluth area ?
@SuperiorAngling
@SuperiorAngling 4 жыл бұрын
Forsure! No matter where we fish, we will always have a white spoon on bottom.

I’ll have to give it a try. I never put my riggers deeper than 70 ft most of the time

Hey I’m up on Mazinaw Lake in Ontario (Bon Echo Provincial Park) my lake is like a canyon and not too much structure down deep it’s a decline from about 50-200+ feet just curious if you knew about the lake at all or had any info on what you look for on contour lines for lakers?

Late to game on this video BUT - why do you say planer boards outfish downriggers everytime? I just bought an 18.5' Lund with downriggers so I am just starting to take up Lake Superor / deep water fishing. Wondering now if I should invest in planer boards as well as use the downriggers!

Yeah you should be fine!! Keep an eye on the marine forecast, but as of now it looks fish-able.

is there a specific reason that you use scotty releases opposed to chamberlains. also is there a reason you like manual riggers
@SuperiorAngling
@SuperiorAngling 4 жыл бұрын
Never heard of the chamberlin. Cant get much easier than the scotties tho. Not much reason to change. Manuals will work 100% of the time (no electrical issues, fuses, etc). We rarely fish deeper than 80 with our riggers so manuals can come up/go down just as fast as an electric.
@timranta9510
@timranta9510 4 жыл бұрын
Superior Angling. Ah I see. Manuals are very reliable. But I would recommend trying chaimberlains they are super simple and all the small fish even pop them. Super easy for walleyes all the way up to big trout. You can crank down the magnets and even use them for dodgers or flashers
@SuperiorAngling
@SuperiorAngling 4 жыл бұрын
@@timranta9510 Most times, I almost prefer my downriggers dont' release when a fish hits. Quite often the 4-5 seconds of slack line a fish gets when they do release severely increases the chances of them shaking the hook (Just in my experiences). I will take a look at them tho! thanks!!

Add a loop and put both lines in the pinch weight
@SuperiorAngling
@SuperiorAngling 4 жыл бұрын
In these clips is a little pin that sticks up. As long as you get your line behind the "pin" it cant come off your line.
