I put my wife’s walker in the backseat of our vehicle. The rear doors open wide (nearly 90 degrees) on our CR-V making it very easy.

I think that your points are valid but less choice is the way things are today. When I ordered my first new car back in 1977 I had a choice of 14 colors and 4 engines. It was nice but I can understand why the auto makers do this. I too would prefer head up display, but maybe it will be offered later. I read where production will be limited to approximately 20,000 units. Hopefully Toyota dealers will not get greedy.

With the pricing of these new Toyota products, it’s hard to justify purchasing one of these vs a Lexus of the same size. I love Toyota however the prices they have been putting out is getting ridiculous

something to consider is that the lexus that you would otherwise purchase for a similar price will be barebones and not have as many options; take the base level rx for example.

I'm curious as to why Toyota decided on the previous Gen hybrid system for this and have Toyota the new one... If this one is cooking it after the Camry and this one is more expensive. Toyota baffles my mind sometimes.

The only thing I can really ding it for is having a drivetrain tunnel that makes the middle seat in the rear unpleasant - and no driveshaft. A flat floor would have made the back seat more useful. Styling is nice, performance is k, price is on the high side of fair.

interestingly, my wife is kind of making this decision right now - the NX is better built with better materials and it's quieter on the road BUT it's significantly smaller and more expensive

@@lthdean yes the NX is MUCH shorter than the crown signia.It’s of vehicles use the same chassis but are different sizes

Why does yet another tester fail to look at key factors ? Do the single recessed, low LED headlights work well and would the recesses get plugged with snow? (Crown sedan has 4 LEDs per side at higher level). Why the heck is there no spare tire in a $45000 car? What is the warranty? What are predicted lease costs? What is the noise level in dB at cruising speeds? How is the rear quarter visibility? I have been following this new model for two years. NOT one of the KZfaq reviewers has provided good answers to key questions.

There’s been an embargo. No one could answer those questions. Finance is done by the dealer. It’s more quiet than the Venza and less than the RX. More car companies are using a repair kit. I hate that idea. Db also depends on the road so that’s subjective. Hope that helps.

A panoramic roof that doesn’t open is not terribly useful. I have had glass sunroofs in our last 4 vehicles and I never really use them. I would rather not pay money for something that has has little to no value to me. I realize that the XLE comes without the panoramic roof, but it lacks other features that I would like.

You can only find the base model of the NX hybrid for $48,000 and its has less space than the Crown Signia.

The interior is pretty nice, but I agree with @Thatguy8134. Why not just get a lexus? It’s owned by Toyota as their luxury line, is relatively the same price, and arguably looks better. Get an NX 350h rather than a Signia, even if the storage is a little bit smaller. Either way Toyotas prices are arguably more expensive than needed especially on certain cars.

Coming from a 2022 Lexus 350h I'm side-grading to this. There's just so many things that should be better on the Lexus, especially the materials used on the dash. They are both nice vehicles but the Signia edges it out in value, imho.

Weak review. RAV4 has 37 cubic feet of trunk space. Signia has 26. How can you say this station wagon is so practical? Slots below the Highlander? I don't know about that. They are almost the same price and they share the same hybrid engine The RAV4 has an opening sunroof. So does the CRV. So does the Highlander. So does the Camry. Bad oversight here
