I relate to this video. I have bought a lot of albums impulsively and for the past weeks I’ve been reselling them except for my bts collection and a few albums I really love, and it feels good mentally.

the fact that you got threats is insane. i think it was very considerate of you to put prices that low bcs some ppl rlly can't afford albums. i did the same thing a couple months back and i spent so many hours packing orders but it was rlly fun. i also did have the same prices as you cause i was desperate to get them off my hands, and so many people were grateful. i only kept cix, stayc, bts, p1, nct, and aespa.

Downsizing videos are my absolute faveeee. I’m a pretty minimal collector myself because I get overwhelmed so easily hahah and I still look at my single shelf like “is this too much” 😂 Having loads of “stuff” doesn’t bring me joy. I’m super super selective now with what albums I buy and have limits on pc collecting too 💓 K-pop can feel overly materialistic so fast!! It’s just about what works for you and brings you joy xx

Although having far less albums, i feel like this video is relatable to me and really helpful for the kpop community as a whole. I've began to stop listening to as many groups as i did previously and although its a bit upsetting to watch yourself fall put of love with the groups you have good memories of, it feels sort of cleansing to be choosing select few to keep/display, and to be moving on to a new chapter and hopefully give the albums a new home

I need your ability to organize and decorate so bad 😳 My shelves look like an absolute mess. And about the album pricing... I feel like especially in the collecting community most of us already have a lot of these albums so it's sometimes hard to even get rid of them. If someone doesn't collect within the community it may seem too cheap but honestly I have seen people throwing away albums because they couldn't sell any. So I'm really happy for you that you were able to find new homes for these albums and also got a little bit of money back🥰

honesty that's so cool of you! just wanted to say that watching this inspired me to take it easy with my collection and to let go of things if it doesn't make me happy or might overwhelm me since there are quite a few impulse buys that I have done. This felt like a cleanse so thanks for that! and just wanted to say you are awesome!

We don't rlly share any groups in common but I rlly enjoyed the video, I keep thinking about how much "stuff" I've got that I don't need yk and having a smaller more focused collection of the stuff you truly enjoy feels really nice :)

This was SUCH a great video! I so love your mindset about rehoming albums. You are so sweet to sell things at such a low price, and I bet it was a relief to get those things off your hands! I can only imagine how happy your buyers were to get such a great deal! Also, I'm a huge believer in karma, and I just know that the good kpop karma is coming your way for this!

i’ve been trying to downsize my collection too. even though a lot of my albums are sitting in a dusty drawer, i still feel attached to them :/ but then again i hate having things i don’t need/won’t use! seeing u actually manage to downsize motivates me so tyyy might try before school starts wish me luck 💗

loved watching this!! i also went through that bulk buying albums especially near the end of college and as ive gotten older ive just slowly been downsizing and it really does feel goodddd (im still in the process of finding motivation to actually post my albums for sale LOLL) i luckily was able to give some away to my friends who really wanted them but still have a handful left need to post & sell.

Thank you for this video, I think your editing is very good ! I'm sooo glad the only group I ever collected is my favorite, since 5 years now 💕 I imagine the burden it must be to have bought so many things you don't really care for, and all the work to sell them away... Never throw away albums, sell or give them to second hand shops ! (In Paris there is Book Off for example)

I also have a habit of impulsive spending when it comes to groups I like. I only really "collect" for two groups these days (The Boyz and Kingdom) since my ult group aren't promoting these days. Even my BTS collection is just sitting in a box out of sight since I've fallen out of love with them and I really used to collect all I could. Gonna have to Marie Kondo it and know which albums really mean the most to me. All others... I'll have to find a way to sell them.

It's crazy to me that people are upset that you are selling for cheap. You set your own prices. I have decluttered a lot of my albums (went from like 150 to just 5 because of a minimalist lifestyle change) and when I wanted to get rid of them I wanted to get rid of them fast. It was exhausting to have a lot of albums just lying around to be sold, and there is a mental health cost on that too. I just wanted a clutter-free living space after having been a collector. And seriously sending threats is like what the actual f? People got issues....

amazing for you! real question though: do people not look at their albums periodically? i open at least one a day so for me its interesting to see that some people forget some albums in a closet (absolutely no hate, everyone can do with their albums/collection what they want)

no i get your question, the albums i kept in the closet were the ones that didnt fit on my shelf before or that were my “extras” so i didnt really interact with them anyway which is why i forgot about them 😭, but i open the ones on my shelf all the time ! its calming flipping through them☺️

Yeah I feel like I wanna downsize my album collection too, I have some extras lying around and i don't need all of it. kpop collecting can be expensive

was hard at first because i do have memories with it all, but at the end of the day you can still keep those memories without having the extra clutter. whatever you decide do what makes u happy 😁

I think its helps for me that i more or less only like 4 modern groups and only like ALL iof the songs of two of them.and the facr that i only have physical albums for one of them so i can delete my other songs as i gain and lose interest

first of all,people are crazy for sending you death threats,secondly I too recently re evaluated being a kpop stan too,the community is filled with unnecessary hate and i hate the (internalized) misogyny, hate shown by women to women more sadly,it's sad that women are saying stuff like they slept with people to win awards,calling them names etc.Kpop stans act very brain dead(hate this term but idk what else to use) no one really forms their own opnion they just see other people and jump on bandwagon of hate,it's honestly draining.I don't own a lot of albums so no downsizing but I am trying not to read comment sections,not interacting with the haters/trolls and I don't really want to get into new groups(last I became an atiny in 2020) because of ethical reasons kinda too many minors are debuting
