Anyone else notice they don't show Kristen wiig small. Then I rewatched it and noticed she doesn't look comfortable in her scenes which makes me believe she doesn't go through with it.

Dont get distracted from the trailer, it only showed some introduction clips from the movie. Before you buy it. Just know that this movie has a major plot twist that might make you have regrets from wasting ur money on it.

This concept is unique and interesting but also ludicrous. All wildlife, even insects would pose a great threat. A rainy day would be catastrophic, hail stones would be an apocalypse and what's stopping any homicidal maniac who hasn't been downsized from squishing everyone? Yeah I may be overthinking it lol But this is one of those high concept film where the creators don't know what to do after Act 1.

One thought description that sums up this movie: "Attack on Titan"...

A different twist of Honey I shrunk the kids movie .. but this one is more profound and modern .. love it being so odd.

C'mon, Matt Damon needs a hit. He ran out Bourne movies and Affleck won't cast him in his next award winner. Clooney isn't doing him any favors.

Look I thought this movie was going to be a comedy but it was just depressing with a depressing soundtrack the whole time. It just wasn't good at all. I watch this movie when it came out in movie theaters and I remember sitting there like wow... this movie is shit.

Probably Kristen Wiig dies during the downsizing process. Her scenes in trailer after the process are from before. That would be a shock for anybody who doesn't read what i'm writing right now.

"Once in a Lifetime" is not in the movie and still, it is connected to the movie, cause of all trailers even on TV they used the song.

What began is a real fun movie turned into an almost too serious environmental documentary. Making environmental points is okay, but too much serious, not enough fun. They could have really had some crazy fun with the idea... I kept wondering where all the blackbirds were when you need one...or perhaps a pebble tumbling off the cliff to come crashing into that guys micro-yacht. What should have been terrifying was more like a dark cloud hanging over your head the entire move that never rains destruction or chaos. I mean, what about earthquakes? jeez. What about what all those little people could be doing on the outside. Too focused on a storyline, and grant you it was okay, almost good, but truly missing something that would have made it great since this is the first time any movie like this has been made except for innerspace and honey I shrunk the kids (neither had anything to do with a society of tiny people though). Some things are better left to god. Too much misery means no room for fun. Nor did they explore the scientific fact that physics changes when you're small... bugs for example can carry many times their own weight. Then there's the big problem with voices! They should be high pitched! but they were just normal. Did nobody from this production crew consult a single real scientist? omg. Next time, please do!

Shrinking ourselves solves our problems related to resource consumption but magnifies problems with nature. Think about pest control, mold growth in a tiny house, raining (each drop is like a basket size) and bullying & discrimination (by normal size human). I love the plot of this movie. It is wild seeing things in this perspective.

Christoph Waltz! It's such a smart idea. It WOULD solve a lot of issues cause it's so fucking cheap. But I don't think it would look that good when it's so small and physics would be way different and the effects on the body in that state would be lethal. But they gotta have some kind of counter measure for that. But also you'd be so exposed...

The one thing...the one motherfucking thing a cat wishes all day is for it's bitch ass owner of a human to be shrunken down to the size of it's play toy. If this were to happen in real life, it would be the most horrific event in human history. A fucking blood bath. Not only do we have to worry about spiders that are now like great danes that run 50x faster than us and and can sink their fangs through our entire leg and suffocate us with their webs, but we also have to worry about the millions of cats who just instantly turned us into their bitch.

They then decide to live on their own island, with future generations eventually forgetting about how they came to be the way they are, creating the island to which Gulliver eventually travels.

Movie is good. What about gravity... small people still 1G

I legitimately thought this was going to be a whole different kind of downsizing till the mini human was revealed.

Something I don't understand. The black adviser lady who is telling them how much their $52,000 will be worth: in the movie, they have over $100,000, not just $52,000. What was the point of changing that for the trailer? Also, when you see him stuck in a cubicle on the phone, the trailer makes it look like he's tired of his life and he should go get small. He gets the cubicle job AFTER he gets small. That shot is taken after he's already downsized. Also Kristin Wiig is in the movie for about 15 minutes while the movie is over 2 hours long. Also, the Vietnamese lady they briefly show for a split second at 1:55 is pretty much the main character. She has the most screen time and the most dialogue, while you can barely understand what she's saying the whole time. Jason Sudekis's appearance in this film can be considered a cameo at best. Also, that huge Absolut bottle scene is not in the movie. My point is, this is a very deceptive trailer. The movie isn't nearly as good as the trailer makes it look. The movie is more about the Vietnamese lady with a thick fake annoying accent trying to get a new foot prosthesis and bringing people food in her ghetto neighborhood, and less about Matt Damon's adjustments to this new small life.
