"In Lady Mary's bedroom, surely not" I love Jim Carter's acting there

That's such an upper-class British reaction. "Ah, your waters have broken. Right. No need to panic."

Also "Anna is in Lady Mary's room and...Dr. Clarkson is with her." One British chap telling another British chap in the most British way that a baby's about to come popping out of his wife.

The defining moment of their friendship for me was when Mary visited Anna in prison and - instead of using an alias - gave her real name, because she wanted everyone to know that Anna had her support. That was good of her. If I were Anna I'd have been touched by that gesture.

Lady Mary's reaction to Anna's water breaking is so based, I LOVE it! The only person I've ever seen to stay that level headed at an impending birth, is my husband. And even he got the jitters once he held his daughter 😉😁😁

I love so much the bond of Anna and Mary. Through the show we've seen that rather than being lady and servant they are more two kind and loyal friends, Anna is fiercely loyal to Mary and at the same time Mary is fiercely loyal to Anna

I love this scene because it shows the great friendship between Anna and Mary. And I love that it’s completly the other way round. Anna giving birth with the help of Mary and Henry going downstairs searching for Bates.

Bates saying he's a father, and he has son seems like a low-key flex directed at Lord Grantham.
@nathanlatham565117 күн бұрын
It definitely wasn’t a flex, bates is on cloud nine but he shouldn’t have said it. After lord Grantham lost his unborn son and Matthew that line would’ve struck a nerve. Compounded by the fact that bates is the only person lord Grantham let himself cry in front of, bates saying that was a misstep and you can tell Hugh bonneville added that to him performance, he smiles but you can tell there’s pain there
