I live in the gta and when I worked I was at bay and Bloor. Thinking back I should have gotten a place of my own down there. Enjoy !

Currently binging apartment tours and after watching maybe 10 studio apartments from Manhattan / NYC and then watching this from downtown Toronto, the difference is HUGE. I just feel like the apartment is more modern, definitely less expensive than manhattan (but duh, it’s manhattan) , but I’m just getting a higher quality vibe in general. From the bathroom and the kitchen

This is such a cute apartment, and your desk, bed, table and storage ideas are really great. My first apartment was a studio/efficiency, one room (except the bathroom), but I didn't have a washer and dryer, had to go to the main building where the washer and dryers were. You are pretty and your apartment so nice. Love the loveseat and ottoman (make a lounger on whatever side the ottoman is on). Love your balcony and all those windows.

The bed is great- it is elevated, adds storage, and defines that space as distinct- not a loft but - separate from the rest of the studio. It almost recedes into that awkward corner. Smart choice for that little stool as a night stand. Only 1 suggestion...get some art or something to cover the electrical box at the entryway.

American/canadian apartments I have soon so far always seem so nice and spacious and full of light and always have storage!! In the UK they always have a tiny window in the lounge area, no balcony/large floor length windows, usually no storage for clothes etc (maybe one cupboard for mop, cleaning stuff etc. They kitchen is almost always around perimeter of main room, very rarely tucked away! I could go on, where do people find these lovely apartments! Maybe it's just the expensive ones that I've seen!

Wow, I visited my friend in Toronto and their place looked like the origin of slender man. Stacks of 5 mattresses mouldering in every third or fourth yard down the entire block. Lumpy, warped floor encrusted with dirt. But their rent was the same as mine in Calgary which had all new finishings. Your rent must be serious dollars, this is your first place? Good job!

I would take that mirror out of the bathroom & angle it in behind the bed as a 'head board in the living space. then you could wall mount 2 lamps on either side for light. You are soooooooooo fortunate to have a W/D in your unit!!!

if i were you i would switch the table and couch then you can watch tv on the couch more comfortably but still have your table near by in my opinion a more convenient place.

Really love your studio apartment.... do you still live here? And are you allowed to put stuff on the walls (command strips)? If so, a pretty piece of art above your bed, sofa and maybe even desk would add some interest.... otherwise... it’s a great equipped apartment with quite a bit of storage and I love how you squeezed your bed in the corner... it looks like a great cozy spot... I’d love to find a studio with a balcony someday...

Very nicely done! You are the only other person, besides myself, I've ever seen store pots/pans up. Works really well in those infrequently used cabinets over my sink. The space and light are lovely. You did a beautiful job and it suits you. Thanks for the tour.
