Unrest is sweeping through some of the US's top universities as student protests over Gaza spread across the country.
A movement which started at Columbia University on the east coast has now spread to the north, south and west.
At the University of Southern California in Los Angeles at least 93 people were arrested during a volatile three-hour standoff between protesters and the police.

@@cz287cj This is misinformation. They believe basic human rights of Palestinian civilians are being devastated every day. The majority believe Palestine need a separate state, independent of Israel. Israel have gone very far beyond the 'eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth' in their religious book. Between 2008 and Sep 19 2023, 6407 Palestinians were killed, mostly by IDF. Israeli settlers in Palestine have been responsible for various incidents through the years, often with the complicity of IDF soldiers (and politicians). This is before all the current situation, resulting from the very reprehensible actions of a very small minority. Nobody supports that. It was very wrong. In my opinion, there was foreign influence in planning this, al quaeda or whoever. 1,400 Israels were killed. Israel has killed at least 32,000 Palestinians since that time. That's 23 times as many Palestinians died. Many other Palestinians have been injured.
