As a Xiao user, I was always aware of his weakness and people considering to pull for him need to be aware of this too. Consider this is a fair warning. (btw liking and having fun with a character is subjective so I won't go on to this topic) As people may have started to notice, he only has a signature weapon and no dedicated artifact set & support. Some teams work for him but their buffs only last half of Xiao's burst uptime at most. To sum it up, he is situational. - Damage falls off at single target scenarios - Struggles to damage all mobs that get staggered in all directions so a crowd controller is recommended - Needs battery, healing & shielding (some dps can let go of 1) - He is expensive for whales too, either go C0, C1, or go C6 to make your cons whaling justified. - Reliant on Zhongli. Yes you can play him without Zhongli, but less comfortable to play because he is the definition of... - a glass canon (he doesn't gain interruption resistance from activating burst) Before anyone in the comments goes to "whats important is you pull for characters you love" or something, I'll just say that those who are dead set on getting him will wish for him nonetheless. This is for those who are still unsure. This game may be casual but resource management especially primogems is a good skill to have.

I’m just so happy that Noelle is able to keep up with these 5 star characters, I triple crowned her several months ago so seeing her getting some attention means so much to me

In short, if you are still unsure about which characters to pull for, always consider the weapons, supports, artifacts and resources that you currently have

It's just crazy that while Noelle could keep up to these 2 five-stars DPS, she's also have a decent heal too that could heal all of her party at once

The fact that Noelle can keep up so well with 5* is amazing. Like you said she was for a 4* always sleeper OP and the right artifacts, weapons and support dug up her true potential. This can very well also happen to Xiao and I hope this happens with 2.4 during his rerun. In the last month I got multiple upgrades on Noelle. C6, Husk of Opulent Dreams, Gorou C6 and R5 Redhorn Stonethresher. I used to do 12 - 18k damage. Now Noelle does 3X to 5X more damage no cap. This is the single biggest boost in terms of power I have seen on my account only 2nd behind my Raiden Shogun.

Seriously, major props to Noelle !! One of the first characters I ever built up and still love to use her to this day! Was awesome seeing her do massive damage in this showcase

As much as I love Xiao, he's really at a lot of disadvantages, Mihoyo really needs to give him justice. Geo resonance is superior compared to Anemo resonance, and Xiao still doesn't have his own artifacts set.

It’s amazing that xiao still keeps up without any dedicated artifact sets or supports that buff him like crazy. Goes to show how strong of a character he is.

I knew Itto would win, but this video makes me respect Xiao even more. No dedicated buffer, no dedicated artifact set, with a crappy 4 star weapon, and he still gives a tough fight to others. Also all this when the current abyss heavily favors the other two

It’s good to see Xiao still being completely viable without a 4 pc set and dedicated support. My c0 Xiao can already dish out 45k plunges solo. I’m sure he will once again be a top tier dps when mhy gives him his long due set and support :)

As a Xiao user, I’d love a quality of live change where Xiao’s plunges also create a small vacuum (like Kazuha) hence removing the annoying stagger and makes his AOE burst much much better

I've said before but I think Noelle is the best choice Mihoyo could have picked to be the first non standard 4 start you get. She's completely self sustaining with shielding, healing, and damage so you don't need to use resources on supports. Not only that, but she's your first into to non atk scaling characters and is also still relatively competitive end game as a dps. She's just a little selfish and not too powerful till C6.

This bring justice to Noelle as DPS, but she is a healer and a shield too, so she is a versatile f2p character I believe in Noelle supremacy

I love both Itto and Noelle and I have been trying to get Noelle's constellations since the beggining but can only get her c2. Hopefully I can get Itto and maybe c6 Noelle one day. They're both very precious characters to me.

The fact that Xiao, a character that is a 5 star limited who sacrifices hp, is extreamly selfish, and has a complicated max potential combo, all traded off to do great aoe damage, and then you look at a 4 star which you probably own at C17 at this point, who can heal and shield, can swap through teammates with no downside, and is braindead easy to play, and has a lower energy cost, and does comparable or arguably better damage then Xiao? Mihoyo please give Xiao some actual artifacts and signature support, I don't want to see my boy fall off this hard again.

Little tip for Itto's main: Switch to him to throw cow first, when the cow gets hit by enemies, he'll gain 1 stack, when the cow flees, he gain 1 more stack, he can gain stack off field.

Geo Resonance does so much for Geo's damage that C6 Noelle is outperforming Xiao. And still they buffed Geo with Husk, Gorou, and Redhorn. Xiao needs a 4 piece he can actually take full advantage of and if he can get a Ameno version of Bennet or Gorou, all the better.

Xiao problems aren't only artifacts sets and supports. His problem are that: -he loses hp for no reason, -he flinches/pushes away enemies too far when he plunges, -if the enemy can move around or dash (like the wolves) xiao loses too much time chasing them down, -he can't gain energy from his E during his Q (hence he requires a battery unless you have a high ER and can't use them mid Q to reposition), -his c1 only works at the beginning of a fight (it doesn't even charge back after his Q duration) -he doesn't snapshot the buffs for his Q (so if they end mid Q, he loses all buffs) With all these reruns its getting more and more likely to have your main dps as C1, if we count for longevity, Xiao doesn't have that either (his other Cons are absurdly bad and C6 is literally useless against bosses or single target's, that and the E spam auto-aim is awful)

I absolutely adore Noelle so I’m glad that people are making more showcases and comparisons for her now. Another thing to note about Noelle is that she’s a healer as well so she removes the need for a C4 Gorou or C6 Zhongli throughout the current abyss 🥰.

I wasn't aware you can cancel the burst animation on Noelle. You always learn something new. My jaw was on the floor seeing her 3 seconds timing on the regisvine. Also Dragonstriking without anemo support on Noelle is hard. Good Job on that !!!

Xiao really needs a dedicated artifact set and an anemo support like Gorou for geo.. He sacrifices his HP for damage yet he barely keeps up with other DPS..

It'd be tough to imagine an artifact set bonus for xiao that wouldnt also just make kazuha even more busted. Then again I dont think that would influence the average xiao main anyway so maybe it wouldnt matter

itto being the king he is. love to see how strong he is, cant wait to see some meta evaluations. i have never been so in love with a character, he'll likely be my main for a very long time alongside ayato. i have a feeling he'll be a lot higher than many want him to be....

The flaws of Xiao is really showing in this showdown. He needs a tailor made support for him just like Raiden and Itto have Sara and Gorou respectively. Xiao sparked a few discussions lately. Mainly for feeling "powercrept" and how difficult to play he's been for awhile now in the current abyss.

As a new f2p player, this makes me pretty happy to see. I don't have many characters, but I *do* have Gorou, Noelle, and Geo Traveler. The fact that I might be able to use Gorou to his full potential with Noelle as my DPS is nice to hear, in case I don't get Itto. (And the fact that a Zhongli banner is coming up also makes me happy - I'm gonna save up for that.)

This video really proves that a proper artif set and (at the abyss half) proper supports can raise a character to high heavens. I mean C6 Noelle was already cracked(as a Noelle main I can tell you Mihoyo absolutely intended for her to be a DPS) but 2.2-2.3 really just made her an insane DPS. Edit: Tbh, people are practically misunderstanding me here. I'm not implying that Noelle is stronger/better than any other DPS. I'm only saying that her *c6* is really damn strong now compared to before(respect for those who main her pre-c6). Well, I think we're past the point of arguments breaking out now, but I've been noticing that toxic people are giving Noelle mains a bad rep.

this just shows how strong xiao actually is. if he has what other characters have (4set artifact, dedicated support, good f2p weapon) he would be a monster.

You've earned a sub from me. I've watched a few of your videos and that wasn't until i got back into genshin impact because of itto. To give you an idea, I started DAY 1 and got to around AR 40 grinding it for a few months then dropped it afterwards. Maybe coming back every few months or so to play for a few hours then dropping it again. Ever since I was lucky enough to get Itto (And Gorou, I love that cute doggo boy!), I've been grinding my ass off. Getting to AR 45, using mostly all my resin to get itto to 80, his weapon to 70, and some somewhat-ok artifacts. He's not hitting nearly as hard as yours. But MAN he's hitting harder than my Diluc and razor, both of which I got to 80 and their weapons to 80 (wolfgravestone) back when I started. Watching your videos, guides, and all have been a real pushing factor in me playing and you don't seem nearly as "High octane" as tectone. You definitely seem more relaxed and less memey, to which I love. So, I'd say keep up the great videos man! You're doing great! I'd love to see a c6 showdown between. Itto vs Hu Tao vs Xiao or Itto vs Eula vs Hu tao or even Itto vs Eula vs Xiao.

And that concludes my decision. I already have hutao, diluc, ayaka, childe as dps' but no 2nd sucrose or 2nd diona for my 2nd team in abyss. I liked xiao's gameplay from last event trial but as a mobile player he's super hard to control i managed to jump in wrong directions a lot or his bad camera angles and not being able to see anything down below and enemies getting pushed away at the same time. It was kinda irritating but i was still gonna go for him but now my main priority is zhongli cause i need supports more than dps'. Thanks for the video and clearing up my decision

Yeah I think it's about time for a DPS oriented Anemo artifact set. I imagine this is only going to happen the next time a super hyped up Anemo DPS is released and they release an anemo red shred/anemo damage bonus set for them.

What I learned from this is how damned viable Noelle is! I've enjoyed her for a while, but mainly in a support role. Seeing this, if I had missed out on Itto, Noelle would do just fine in his role. Especially with my Albedo and Gorou 🤔

Hopefully Xiao gets some love from Mihoyo soon. As IWTL said, he has no useful 4peice set, no dedicated 4* support and subpar 4* weapon options.

Last year I didn't want to play genshin because I thought there was no tank in the game and then a friend told me about Noelle and that she was actually a free character, and that's how I decided to start playing genshin impact. My favorite class in any game is always paladin/crusader or similar, my favorite element is earth by far, and my favorite weapons are shields of course, along with axes and secondly swords, so I fell in love with Noelle since the very beginning and she helped me to clear all the content in the game and I still use her to clear abyss every time.

Good to see Itto thriving. He is a really fun unit, but what I like the most about him is that He beatboxes and goes OWA OWA.

These videos are awesome. Just out of curiosity, can you do an updated video on how to calculate percentage Damage potential? Potentially from a perspective of a light spender/f2p so they can figure out if they are done farming artifacts for that character?

If you go to the far left of the arena in 12-2 second half, and wait for the Cryo Maguu to run past the Anemo Maguu... he will not dash at all. Got this info from Zyox vid. Hope this helps ur future Showdowns👍

I was waiting for this, really wanted to see how Noelle stacks up against Itto in multiple scenarios. Its motivational to see that shes still good and not completely eliminated by new dps. I would like to see Diluc with the new sword as well whenever thats relevant as a comparisson.

Seeing how noelle outperforms xiao just shows how the dps side of anemo is lacking even worse than geo. Anemo need a dps kit for xiao and an actual f2p weapon that works for him(all the burst dmg increase weapons dont even work for his burst)

Thanks as always, love to see how characters play out in these situations. I've been relying on Noelle every day since the first day I started playing. She's consistently reliable, and the Redhorn has been a big help. Being able to swap during her burst is very handy when paired with Raiden.

I am super hyped for xiao..... have c3 Jean ( hoping to get c4 ASAP). And i have homa as well as r2 jade spear.

All I got to know from this showdown is that Noelle is freaking op.

an interesting comparison to make would be to pit 4 bolide itto vs 2 viri 2 glad/shimenawa xiao. Retracing bolide seems to be the go-to for itto if not for the ridiculously overtuned husk set, and it would make for a more even comparison of both characters kits. Of course characters dont exist in a vacuum and we do have husk available to itto, but the % difference in power can be used to predict how powerful xiao may become if he gets a dedicated set like husk, crimson witch or emblem

And thats why shenhe or Yunjin should have been anemo to support the elements dmg! I mean Cryo clearly doesn’t need any buffs to its dmg RIGHT?

For damage per thumbnail noelle can swap from full DEF% artifacts to DPS after she uses her burst. This way she gets extra attack from her ult. This can add like 2000 attack to her

A cool idea might be to compare the best teams in the game. For example fireworks vs morgana vs raiden national

Thanks for the videos. You really make great videos. I think it is great that you compare C0 5 star with C6 Noelle. For most players getting more than perhaps C0 or C1 is borderline impossible on a five star. I have a C6 chongyun and a C5 xinyan...(really bad wanted another c5 like barbara instead) But for most players it is possible to get C4 to C6 4 star characters. So good comparison. Always hard to compare because how do you compare healing vs a non healing character. Or a Shield unit vs a non shield unit. Besides some few 5 stars like hu tao, ganyu and Eula most characters is somewhat consistant in damage to the rest. Another fun comparison could be to see which characters benefit the most from foods. And perhaps both defence and attack food will help on noelle.

I would love to see more dps showdowns featuring Ayaka and/or Raiden
