The winners usually are crowned the Tag Festival winners along with earning a guaranteed DPW World Tag Team Championship match. Violence Is Forever decided to enter the Tag Festival event, putting their DPW World Tag Team titles on the line for the entire show meaning the winner of the 2023 Tag Festival would also become the DPW World Tag Team Champions. The 8 tag team participants in the tournament were the following: Violence Is Forever, Miracle Generation, Jay Malachi & Jackson Drake, WorkHorsemen, MSP, Above The Rest, Best Bros, & International Giants.
