Dr. Wilson, is ahead of his time.....even in today's economy we're still facing the same issues as a community. Because the Asians have no money, until they get in lock with Black money...and that's a fact! If you go to China most of the population are uneducated and poor and they don't profit from each other. Only until they can open up a business in Black communities througout the world...then they lock into wealth....on Black dollars....smh...but look down on the very community that affords them to be able to send their kids to school.

I have personally seen an Asian man with a less than desirable store, in the black neighborhood, send his son to medical school. So, if the black community can do that for his business, why can't they do it for their own? Self hate is the issue.

@@saywhat5111 That's easy to answer. Not only will the black entrepreneur get robbed in the hood, he or she will more than likely get killed at some point by their own people.

The problem with the black community is that we talk about group economics but we do it sparingly. We will participate in a cash mob and spend at a black business business but we don't live these principles. Well, I say we because I'm included in this as well. I know it's hard to only support black businesses but we need to come together and supply the demand. Any and every issue that I've ever studied that effected us needed to be attacked from multiple angles. We cannot be one track minded when we try and fix our problems. We are so broken that we need healing from multiple levels and angles.

To solve poverty for African Americans in this country is collective economics. Our dollars just don't circulate in African American communities like other ethnics communities that practice collective economic . However we did practice collective economic in the past and in return we had much stronger and independent communities as well. Finally, we must learn from our past. M

The first thing to do is to stop saying "we". This "we"' mentality is a dream. "We" will never happen. You start out small with a few people with a good plan and watch it grow.
@divineuniversalunderstandi8116
@divineuniversalunderstandi8116 6 жыл бұрын
BooBoo0818 "We" is correct. Although we will start out with a small number of individuals and have to grow from there, it will always be a "we." In any idea or policy that needs to be implemented for Black people l, we will always need the we.
@BooBoo-yh5jn
@BooBoo-yh5jn 6 жыл бұрын
Divine Universal Understanding. Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! "We" don't live in those days anymore. Michael Jordan has nothing to do with Michael Brown. Will Smith, Beyonce, Oprah, etc has nothing to do with some poor single black woman on welfare in Chicago with five kids. Two different worlds. When white people ask me "What about Chicago?" I tell them I don't have a damn thing to do with Chicago. Let Chicago fix it's own problems. I am concerned about where I live, not Chicago. How many times have you heard black say "we need to do this" and "we need to do that"? Nothing happens, then "we" become disappointed, and the "we" say "we don't do this like the asians" and "we don't do that like the jews". A silly vicious cycle that gets you nowhere. Do you see white people, jews, asians, etc running around talking about "we need to do this", "we need to do that"?. You need to change "we" to "I" Look around at your most successful black people: Ali said "I am the greatest". Dr Dre said "I am going to be a billionaire" Oprah said "I am going to become the first black female billionaire" Obama said "I am going to become the first black president" Harriet Tubman said "I am going to led my people out of bondage' Martin said "I have a dream" Tiger Woods said "I am going to be the greatest golfer" Ben Carson said "I am going to be a great surgeon" Don King got out of jail and said "I am going to take over heavyweight boxing" and so on and so on...none of these people and others like them sat around waiting for and talking about "we". America rewards individual achievement. Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Donald trump, Warren Buffet, the Mooch, founders of Google, etc, etc This ain't no group think African village. , When you wake up in the morning you say "I am going to do this", "I am going to do that" . If you have a good plan the rest will take care of itself and you will be rewarded along with those around you. . Stop waiting on "we".

Anyone who speaks this way is just in the way. If you want to promote anti-unity keep that mess to yourself. Asians, Mexicans, Whites Africans all stick together and purchase from one another and build with one another. wake up. You're probably not even Black.

ERic Smith Wrong. Your "we" mentality has failed . Look around. What other proof do you need.? It does not work for black people in America. WAKE UP! You are living in a dream world. The problem with people who think like you is that you keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. You are too scared to try or come up with something new. Why do you think communism failed so miserably? Because "comrade we" does not work. It failed. They got rid of it. I have already proved it to you successful black economic progress starts with someone who said "I". I gave you a list to prove it. Lets see your “we” list. This ain't no African village.. The American economic system is based upon "I". It rewards "I" Would you like an example of "I" in the Black community? The wealthy black church. The minister is the "I". Everybody else falls in place. Can you say Creflo Dollar? Can you say TD Jakes. No matter what you think of them they know how to generate black wealth and much better than these Asians, Mexicans, etc. The black church collectively is billions of dollars wealthy . They do much better than these Asians , Mexicans, White Africans you worship. Didn't you listen to the video? The black wealth is there. Its just question of how it is best utilized. So why do you need their system when you already have one that works? Now you show me a collective economic black “we” movement in America that has generated substantial wealth. Stack it up against the wealth of the black church for comparison. This Asian, Mexican, White African collectively sticking to together talk is a self hating myth. That's like saying they are smart and you are dumb. Are you dumb? Then stop talking like you are. Behind all of that Asian, etc sticking together that you claim is a leader with a small committee. They are the ones who are running things. They are the ones who dictate to the rest of the group. It is still an "I". You seem to forget that Asians are still connected to Asia, Mexicans are still connected to Mexicao, White Africans are connected to Europe. African Americans are connected to NO ONE. There is no African connection for anyone who thinks there is. African Americans are ALONE. That calls for a whole different solution, not your look at the Asians nonsense. Screw the Asians. And I'll tell you something else. Asians have to get up every day and open up those raggedy ass stores in black neighborhoods. If it wasn't for that black dollar half of them would starve to death. Same for the rest of these immigrants fresh off the boat So if they are so smart why can't they generate wealth within their own group? Why are they so dependent upon the black dollar? Black people have always generated its on wealth because no one buys from us. So that "they purchase from each other " is bullshit. Lets see them purchase without that black dollar. So who is smarter? I am not the problem, it's self hating brainwashed people like you who spend too much time worrying about what somebody else is doing and trying to copy their solutions which do not work for black people. Then you fail and the self hatred cycle begins again. “We need to do this and we need to do that. Look at what so and so is doing. We can't get it together. And so on and so on...... ”. A broken record. You are in the way with your outdated communist mentality.

oliver jackson - Presentations of heavy detailed content that are long in duration cause people to tune out certain portions due to fatigue in concentration, and/or the lack of ability to see relevance due to inexperience with a particular point. It's not just about being ready to receive the message. The simpler way to put it is that smaller segments are more digestible, as 'full metal' already indicated. People need to process what they are hearing and weight it all against what they think they already know, therefore it behooves them to to REMEMBER what they heard. Furthermore a 2-3 hour lecture may have a lot of distracting fluff that is not at all essential to the main critical points.

The same way China has Socialism with Chinese Characteristics. We need Socialism with African Characteristics. It needs to be tailored to the African reality. The basis and worldview of Marxism is dialectical materialism. This means we need to investigate, research, analyze and understand the current situation and then create a strategy to tackle issues like poverty. We can't make ideological decisions, they have to be based on real life. Kwame Nkrumah used scientific socialism to turn Ghana into a thriving country until the CIA sponsored a coup against his government so that Ghana could serve US/EU interests.

Asafo Watson You are right to a certain extent. When you analyze wilson he is saying similar concepts example "white people are only able to be what they are because we are who we are.... once we change, they change". Thus poverty is much more about us and our consciousness, than it will ever be about another man's feelings towards us.
@asafowatson9676
@asafowatson9676 6 жыл бұрын
Truth Seeker yeah but a very significant difference is that Thomas sowell would never advocate blacks essentially going to total war with whites . Also brother Amos Wilson doesn't see our situation as strictly a capitalists situation. He sees the European as a race of people who conspire to keep the constants of white supremacacy in place world wide.
@truthseeker3397
@truthseeker3397 6 жыл бұрын
Asafo Watson as any race in power would. Power naturally wants to preserve itself. Sowell doesn't advocate war because we are in no way shape or form ready for that. In the current state sowell has the best remedies to stop the bleeding and become healthy again. Similar to Claude Anderson
