Very nice information. I just today saw your post. Sir lots of thanks for so easy to understand briefing. Actually I am not on medicine line but a sufferer a victim of this dreaded disease (my son has the problem since childhood). He even TB type II. However, he did diploma 3 years after X, then 5 years B Arch, now pursuing higher studies in Ireland. Bone marrow tests at Calcutta and then within months in SJH, both confirmed ITP. I don't know his future but one thing noticed that the boy has come to know that he has to live with this for ever. Platelets thrice, injection (one injection of around 80 thousand), TB course 8 months, then trenexa/clip and over ten thousand cetrizine tablets, and antibiotics on more than 100 occasions. Calcutta medical, SJH, AIIMS, Maharaja agresen, Delhi, Patel chest, Delhi cantonment board hospital, base/army hospital, Delhi, afcme, delhii then multiple cghs and defence dispensaries were where he was treated right from birth. However sir he always maintain around 20 k platelets since childhood, even now too. It is worthwhile mentioning that he always (throughout the year) suffers mainly cold and cough type problem due to sinus and low platelets. Even two months ago when he was in Delhi he was having severe cold and cough, sinus problem, but after reaching Ireland, over two months since elapsed, he never required to take even a single cetrizine, appears miracle to me. Sir can you through some lights and future of this boy and if his marriage life will not be but detrimental due to ITP, I am really tensed for his future. But sir I confess that at present he is keeping absolutely fine. Sir your kind words will immensely help me morally.

My mother is an ITP patient. Platelete count around 80,000-130000.. No bleding, no symptom... Dr suggested for Eltrombopag.. When she taken altrombopag, platelate count rised up to 500000.. If she do not take it, platelate count return to around 80000.. Can my mother use Retuximab??
