I think is awesome how Dre said he is no lyricist, this is so old, and since his very beginnings he was humble about it.
@OfficialExilica8 жыл бұрын
+jottaz1 He's not a lyricist. I don't think anybody thinks of Dr. Dre when they think about the best rappers. He's more known for producing the beats that your favorite rappers are on. I remember he said in an interview that he's always made music for the club or for the trunks. He just likes and makes dope shit.

OfficialExilica Yeah well, a lot of people think he is the writer of still DRE

+jottaz1 Dre isnt a writer of anything lyrically. Only people who would believe what u said are the "general fans". If u down with the hip-hop culture then u'd know this since the NWA days or Chronic days.

MaadAzzGang Id know what? When did I say he was a writer? He has always had ghostwriters since he started. Read my comment again boy. What I said was that since day one he said he was no lyricist, other rappers deny having ghostwirters, but dr dre never denied it.

Listen to that. What I loved about 90's rappers is that they had explicit and clean versions of their own lyrics. Some would just have a reverse clip of an expletive, and others would improvise their lyrics for TV/Radio...and it still sounded nice. Funny part is at the end. Snoop and Dre did all that to fix their lyrics and Snoop holler's "BIAAATCH" and leaves. lol
@jactrich4 жыл бұрын
They needed too back in the early 90’s otherwise radios wouldn’t touch the new harder rap. Listen to rza talk about protect ya neck and why there’s over 3 versions, only one is uncut and the album still to this day contains the censored version and not the bloody version

@@slicknick6645 Doggystyle was the one that crossed over more into Europe, with white people. I'm British and I remember in '93/'94 he was as big as Eminem was in the late 90's.
