This may sound stupid, but what if you don't even know what your own needs are?

No it’s not stupid… I don’t know what my needs are either. I’m a recluse & socially isolated and rarely mix with anyone in society.

It's not stupid at all! Understanding your own needs can sometimes be a challenging journey, but it's important to take the time to self-reflect and figure out what truly matters to you.

Start to get to know yourself. Explore what you love. Find the things that spark passion. This is the fertile ground that purpose and fulfillment sprout from. People are here but only a few are alive.

Not stupid at all! You can be so conditioned to suppress your needs you forget to ask yourself what they are. Take the time to ask and be patient with yourself. It’s what I’ve had to do.

I have been there for very long .Now i am into 7th year rediscovering who i am .Discerning between what i love and hate 😂.Now i allow myself the freedom to say what i hate and with that i discover what i adore .I hate war and fights .I love most animals ,the pesky ones i hate .All flowers are beautifull? I like people but i had to learn to turn my back on some . We" give off " an energy .If you prefer being alone thats okay ,be in your own happiness .Why would i go to meeting where people fight if i can plant a tree 😂? Do what makes you happy ...

I was a people pleaser, I developed cancer. I recovered after an aggressive drug regime. I attributed my illness to my interaction with others. 31 months after diagnosis, I completely changed my life. I am no longer a people pleaser, and 16 years on, I'm still fit and healthy. My advice would definitely be to put your own wellbeing before anyone else's. Thank you Dr Gabor gift to the world is immeasurable.

I was abused and bullied throughout my childhood: I know this is common, but I couldn't gain weight as I felt continually ill through stress and couldn't eat much, had eczema on my body, had tonsillitis once a month, couldn't stop shaking. There were also obvious mental illness symptoms. Yes, trauma and later suppression of being allowed to show your anger and feelings towards noone doing anything for you at the time and then having to care for them later in life, affects your physical health dramatically.

Beautiful and very true. Dr Gabor provides so much helpful information for us to heal. I just wish he would apply this logic to the Jewish people in Israel. Many feel very hurt by his warped views. May all humans heal and live in true peace.

I'm really sorry to hear about what you've been going through. Losing a loved one and dealing with a breakdown is incredibly challenging, and it's understandable that it would affect you deeply. It's important to prioritize your mental health and well-being. Have you been able to talk to your partner about how you're feeling? Sometimes open communication can help, but if they continue to invalidate your feelings, it might be worth considering seeking support from a counselor or therapist. Remember, you deserve to be in a relationship where your feelings and opinions are respected. Take care of yourself and stay strong. ❤️

@@yourinnerchildmatters ive tried talking might as well talk to a brick wall. I'm bisexual and she is gay. She dislikes when men approach me then suppose anyone be like that. I talk she gives silent treatment or says I'm sick talking about this crap. I wanna be with somebody that understands me. I feel uncomfortable broaching some subjects with her now (wasn't always like that). I'm still struggling with the death of my dad. Sometimes I wanna just disappear.❤️

@@nataliemcgowan3425 I'm really sorry to hear about what you're going through. Relationships can be incredibly challenging, especially when communication breaks down. It's important to be with someone who understands and supports you, and it sounds like you're not getting that right now. Have you tried explaining to her how much this means to you? Sometimes people don't realize the impact their actions have. If she still isn't responsive, it might be worth considering if this relationship is healthy for you. Also, I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is really tough, and it's normal to feel overwhelmed. Please don't hesitate to reach out to friends, family, or a counselor for support. You don't have to go through this alone. Remember, your feelings are valid, and you deserve to be heard and understood. Take care of yourself. Bless you dear!
