Professor Gautam R. Desiraju is a renowned Indian chemist and educationist. He is one of the most highly cited Indian scientists with over 450 research papers, 60000+ citations and an h-index of 100.
He has been in the Solid State and Structural Chemistry Unit of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India since 2009. He is a member of the India Science-20 Secretariat in G20 India Presidency Year 2023.
In this podcast we discuss Dr. Desiraju's new book "Bhārat: India 2.0" which analyzes and delineates the problems arising out of the Indian Constitution of 1950, and argues for changes that recast India as a civilizational state rather than a mere nation-state.

We speak TELUGU but historically we were party of KALINGA Empire, we(VISAKHAPATNAM,VIJAYANAGARAM,SRIKAKULAM) have our own historically coming traditions that i find somewhat different from other places in my State. Maybe 75 states is GOOD.

Indeed! Cheers to Prof Desiraju! However, when India starts decolonizing or comes back to Bharat & civilization then true Dharmic/Indians will all be back!!

Hi Abhijeet Sir, Really loved how you could keep this conversion so free from jargons, so that common folks like me could understand. I request you to also do a podcast with Dr. C K Raju. There are only a few videos of him which are popular but even in those he says to refer to his book. He always covers a lot of topics which could be base for future academic work in our universities. I am sure you can ask better questions than a general interviewer and we can get to know his work better. He puts it all on his website, but that is a very old version web design. Pretty slow and confusing.

I would have felt much better if you commented on my remarks because this was the subject of this podcast. Not someone else's book.
