Sir there's a question if conduction to the ventricles is decreased by 2nd mechanism then does it affects the first mechanism as it can't collect ca++ at that rate because slow depolarisation??

Sodium will enter through voltage gated Sodium channel in phase 0 of cardiac action potential, while calcium will enter through L-Type calcium channel in phase 2 of cardiac action potential

Hello Sir.... Sir I have one doubt regarding digoxin... Digoxin inhibits NaKATPase and causes increased cytosolic Ca concentration and useful in management of CCF. Due to improved blood circulation and improved blood supply to kidney digoxin produces diuretic action also.... But Sir on the basolateral membrane of nephrons there are also these NaKATPase is present at DT.... So can digoxin inhibit these NaKATPase also and cause rise in cytosolic level of Na and mediates failure of NaCloride symport and thus can digoxin causes diuresis ??? Plz guide Sir ji....

Kindly clarify this Sir. Thank you

It increase only force of contraction. Listen to the mechanism again. If duration of systole decrease it means heart is contracting quickly and thus more forcefully. However duration of diastole increase so heart rate doesn't increase
