Thankyou for the explanation. What I do not understand is why he has seen ornament as not just primitive, nur feminine and erotic. Can you Help me?

Thanks for your nice comment and question MSabc. I'm not completely sure what you're asking, but I'll take a stab at it. Loos sees not just ornament, but all art as erotic: "All art is erotic. The first ornament to have been invented, the cross, was of erotic origin. It was the first work of art. A horizontal stroke: the woman lying down. A vertical stroke: the male who penetrates her." (Adolf Loos, "Ornament and Crime"). I'm not a Loos scholar, so I don't know why he thinks this, but it is provocative and interesting!

Good explainatory video. However, some kind of reflection upon the text would also be interesting in my opinion. Btw: Loos is not pronounced like the word "loose", the o sound rather like in "low".
