Awe. My granddaughter has the same skin condition. She's with me a lot so I'm able to help her stay on top of flare-ups. My daughter does not so I do. ❤

As someone dealing with atopic eczema herself since 25 years, I cannot recommend creams. This may be different from case to case, but for me, cream triggers itching, I presume because it kind of prevents it from "breathing". I much prefer lotion, for example glycerine-based, and there are really rich ones on the market developped specifically for eczema. Another thing that helps me (and I don't know why) is switching lotion once in a while, if I stay with one for too long it somehow looses effectiveness. Anyway, good luck to the girl in the video and I hope it will improve as you age🤞

I have experienced Atopic Eczema which I was diagnosed with as a baby and I had throughout my childhood. Also, I went to the Dermatologist and was given creams, even a bath powder to help the Eczema as it was all over my body. Luckily, I outgrew most of the Eczema but I still get a few small patches only on my hands.

Keeping a notebook to write down triggers, times of year, etc... may help in the future.

That is not a child. That is a tiny adult! Seriously though, she is quite sweet, and I hope for the best for her, and her Mom (whom she will look exactly like as an adult).

when i was a baby, i had eczema from head to toe. it was still pretty bad throughout my childhood. now i’m 29 and only have to deal with it when i wear something that irritates my skin or in spring and fall when the weather changes. it never goes away, but it certainly gets better.

This disparity is rare to happen in the NHS. So odd that different doctors are saying different things.

I have that, and I don't use sented products... Everything is for sensitive skin, and I use good lotion that's not scented. Helps so much!

I have contact dermatiis and sensitive skin so no perfumed body wash or bubble bath. No bath bombs. No harsch chemicals and the big one for me is no washing powder it has to be liquid. Im alot better now I'm older but I manage the bad patches with hydrocortisone cream.

It started about 10 years ago, never had it as a child. On one lower leg and has slowly spread. Comes and goes. Had bx atopic dermatitis. Spring and fall mostly. Itches like crazy. Bumpy like alligator skin. What can i do?

032224 It sure would be nice to know which OTC creams and lotions Dr. Lee suggested to Winter and her mom to use. I use Eucerin. I am sending my best thoughts to Winter and all the rest of us who live with this. Oh, do NOT forget to drink lots of water!!

It is worst during winter because the air is dry and ot makes the skin dry as well. Have a humidifier at home it helps a lot.

Elidel cream is a good product (cortisone free) for that skin condition its from Germany not sure if you can get it in the States. When you have dermatitis A it's good to avoid chocolate and all citrus fruits it may disappear with age.

Dr. Lee does not speak down to the girl. She asks her directly. I started off with eczema as a child then bloomed into psoriasis as an adult.

I've had eczema my entire life, 45 years. AND IT COMPLETELY RUINED MY CHILDHOOD. It was so bad at one point that I looked like a burn victim. To this day, I still struggle with the painful memories of being teased and taunted and called ugly every single day. By family, classmates, and strangers😔. I had no one who cared about how bad I felt about an inherited skin condition I couldn't control. I feel this little girl's frustration. I hope this new regime works for her🥹.
