She drowned, pinned under a waterfall for 30 minutes. Yet orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Mary Neal felt no fear. She was enveloped in love and peace throughout an astonishing near-death experience. Like all who touch on that ethereal plane, never has she felt so whole, so complete, so home. And then she got kicked out! (Well, that's how her kid put it - it's more like she was sent back with an assignment.) Join me in coversation with this wonderful luminary at the 2018 International Association for Near Death Studies conference in Bellevue, WA. (While I've brightened the video made in a dark conference room, I didn't bother to edit out my phone interuption - you'll see why!)

Dr Mary is even able to have compassion for someone who sexually molested her (18:45). Before her near-death experience, this sexual abuse naturally created anger in her. When she re-experienced this event from the abuser's perspective and understood him and his life story, she says that now, when she thinks of the abuser, she feels nothing but compassion. Beautiful. Is this what God truly wants of us? How can I become compassionate like Dr Mary?

I had an amazing nde and listening to Mary, a great encourager that she IS, gives me ongoing courage in what's an almost impossible situation I live under::THE MAFIA! God is surely putting me to the test these last years, over a decade now. Those who sow in tears, reap in Joy. Truth AND, while great sorrow is also my constant companion. Soon I'll be taking actions, I suspect, I pray. Love and Prayers around you, reader.

I love all testimonies of nde especially Dr. Neal's experience, I believe Jesus does this to give us hope and prepare us/comfort us on this mysterious experience called life. I've watched many nde(s) and they are very similar in describing the concious/visual/emotional aspect of what happens when one leaves the body or what humans use the reference word die. It seems that all of what we learn here on earth will build our spiritual body and also will use the experiences/knowledge on the other side. That being said love one another and work as team while here on earth.

Do you read the Holy Bible ? Have you read where Jesus said that there is a hell and described it? I believe in Heaven and I believe in hell . I cannot earn Heaven , I must choose to obey what Jesus teaches in The Holy Bible , and live it to the best of my ability. Thank you for sharing your experience of NDE with us. It is wonderful to look forward to heaven and not fear death.

I’ve seen Mary in person speak and I’ve read her book. Here she says she was under water for 30 minutes. I’ve read before she said it was 15 minutes under water. If you google her name and 15 minutes it’s comes up that way in searches.

The total was around 30, the rescue clock only starts when the realize someone’s missing. So reports will only accept the time from when the clock starts. I don’t believe this includes how long they even worked on her. Just from when the started the clock and when she was pulled out. That would make the total closer to 30. She explains that in older videos and probably just thought people knew.

Could it be the reason why God has allowed us to live with sufferings as consequences of evil, apart from Him, **temporarily, with MUCH hope of restoration through the gospel of salvation in Jesus**, is that when we who are saved, finally take on our eternal existence and be with God, we knew how horrible it is apart from God, and how glorious it is to be with Him, that we would NEVER do the same mistake as the **eternal** fallen angels who rebel against Him and are judged to be in hell for eternity.

Here are the rubs: The Christian Bible says that *non-believers* are cast into Hell when they die. AND it says, "A person is to die only *once* and then the Judgement"! The Bible also says that Satan is a great deceiver and can "turn himself into a being of light." See the conflict, dilemma? We live in a world that is steeped in evil and which seems to be growing by the minute, so I'd be very careful about buying into these so-called near-death stories lest it's all a satanic trap composed of feel-good words like "freedom" and "beauty" and "love" and "being home," as Satan has LOTS of power and is an absolute master when it comes to using lies and tying them in with the longings of our hearts! May The Lord Jesus help us all.

Your warning is certainly warranted and, no doubt, there are those who have claimed to have had NDE's who use it for selfish and evil purposes. Satan IS the great deceiver. He's come to kill, steal, and destroy and deception is perhaps his best tool for doing this. Mathew 7:15: "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves." 16 But he also said, "You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them." And also from Matthew: "Good people bring out good things from their good treasure. But evil people bring out evil things from their evil treasure. 36 I tell you that people will have to answer on Judgment Day for every useless word they speak. 37 By your words you will be either judged innocent or condemned as guilty.” I'm no expert nor the final word on NDE's but Mary's words, at least, seem to bear that she is not a false prophet (I don't know that you ever explicitly said SHE was). When she describes love, she uses it in the context of action and not in just a cheap or selfish, "feel good" sense (as in the "free love" and "love the one you're with" philosophies). And she describes action in the context of being a servant and not a leader. Satan would have us elevate ourselves, I think. Still, you're very correct in that discernment is needed and we should always be on the watch for deception. Peace!

So that we don’t put modern day twists on Biblical things. May I recommend Dr. Michael S. Heiser a theologian and scholar. He knows Hebrew and Greek and is a specialist in certain ideas in the Bible. Also may I say personally most of these experiencers are in fact re stating Jesus most important teachings... Love, compassion, empathy, do not FEAR evil...now why would the Devil want you doing that? Why would he promote unconditional love and to fear no evil? I wish you the best in your biblical studies and in your grace and actions towards others. How does it go... “Why would the devil cast out devils?” Most of these stories do just that. They get you refocused back on to compassion and love. All evil starts with Fear, fear turns into hate, hate turned into violence. If that’s not evil I don’t know what is?

According to Dr. Neal's account Heaven is not such a benevolent place after all. While there, she was supposedly told that her son would die at a relatively young age; however, no reason for the coming tragedy or exact date was given, so she was left to agonize (for years) over the news...provided that such information was actually given. Dr. Neal's experience is entirely consistent with the very vivid hallucinations (or dreams) that occur when the brain becomes hyperactive as a result of a dying body.

Dr Neale was comforted through her experience of the magnificence and pure love that she felt. She knew that is what her beautiful son would experience when he passed. And she knows that she will be reunited with him when she returns. So that is the benevolence of heaven.🙏

@@rose5566 It makes NO sense at all that the "powers that be" in Heaven would decide to cut the promising life of a beautiful boy short for no apparent reason. Dr. Neale was having a classic NDE hallucination and her son's death was merely a coincidence or she made that part of her hallucination up.

@@wendelallen2539 it's not so easy to explain. Many people have had NDE. You listen to the NDE account of Dr Rajiv Parthi who was in USA when he died but he could see his mom and sister from USA during his NDE. He even verified with the colour of the clothes which his mom was wearing. So it's not easy to say that NDE s are hallucinations. The consciousness of the Universe is the combined Consciousness of you me and all

Perhaps you haven’t come across the many testimonials available now from atheist who also died, all though they had a personal experience like the Dr, here. The underline message is the same from those who where dead a long time. Howard Storm has been one of my favorite testimonials. Many of my favorites are the atheists experiences. Don’t be fooled by someone’s beliefs or life before they died. Many of them became so spiritual they had to leave some of their faiths that where based on fear and or other miss lead teachings. I hope you keep looking into this, peace be with you!

People have been having NDEs for millennia... sometimes they tally with religious orthodoxy and sometimes they don't. Often it depends to some extent on the person having the NDE i.e., Catholics might see Mary. Protestants Jesus. Buddhists and Hindus might see Yama the lord of Death.

Jesus is definitely definitely NOT buddha!!!! Please believe in the true living God who is in the Bible. He is the only way, truth and life. He’s name is Jesus and He is the only way to eternal life and to the Father in Heaven. Please don’t be deceived by saying that Jesus is biddha because that’s a lie from the bottom of the pit. The devil is a lier and he wants you to believe that.
