In the New testament.... Nothing like tithing.... nothing like sacrifice and Jesus never demanded such things. What is required is giving cheerfully.

Wow, what a struggle? What a book that we have? The Bible!!! What a magnitude of patience of The Most High ? Well, we are all work in progress in the hands of The Most High. You just began, if all The Truth wouldn't come through you on this particular issue of TITHE, those of us learning from all the generals will only not teach the whole Truth but PRACTICE also, the whole Truth. There is nothing called Tithe today, I concur it is 100%, maybe we need a Hebrew word to use for 100%, instead of tithe, 10%, then we can appreciate why GRACE is badly a NEED. GOD BLESS YOU.

Even the poor are taking from the poor!! That message was loud and clear

Great message, but the message should have also touched on how the poor in the churches are helped. It is true that SOME church members are dishonest, but that doesn't mean, that others in need should be ignored. The message rightfully cited the fellowship in Acts of the Apostles--which is a great example, can the same be said of today's church? We should do well to support the less privileged in our churches--this is what God seeks.

Most times we are taught to give, it has so much more mentions (perhaps because it is more blessed to give than to receive). However, how it is used is seldom spoken of. It would help if that could be taught and practiced in our churches today.

Churches pay fees for people(scholarships); that's part of taking care of the poor. Worthy Of Note 👍

I have one problem with giving specially first fruit. When it comes to the laws that ask us to do the law which the Jews did physically in the Old Testament we say we are not under the law. But the same law that has to do with money we say we are obliged to obey it. I am very disappointed when Rev says God’s acceptance of Abel and Caine offering was based on quantitative and not the heart. The feast of first fruit is one of the seven law of feast God gave to Israel to obey in a year. Why do the pastor who encourage and practice this first fruit which is one of the laws refuse to do the other six ( 6) laws of feast. They say Christ has fulfilled all by his death. Is it because this first fruit alone brings money to the church so as for this one we are not under this law of first fruit but we are not under the other six laws which do not bring money? Note: these laws were 7 feasts, Yet we are not under the other six laws because they do not bring money. But because first fruit brings money we are under every obligation to obey first fruit and not the feast of tabernacle for example. If we are not under the law why do we obey this law given to Israel out of the 7 feast? The feasts which typify Christ’s death which brought salvation to us we do not do them as the Israelites physically did them or are doing them. Because we believe that these feasts had been fulfilled by Christ’s death. Why do we not also believe that first fruit feast has also been done with by Christ’s death. The Bible says Christ is the first fruit of resurrection. If Christ is summation of the law why do we do first fruit which is also the law. The church must be careful when it comes to money. Matthew 6 : 24 we cannot serve 2 masters, we cannot serve God and money. God’s enemy is Satan why did not God say you can’t serve Me and Satan since His enemy is Satan. But said money. He knows that a time is coming when the church’s attention will be direct toward money. The church will challenged either to obey God and seek him alone or seek money to serve him. The church today must be careful. I repeat when it comes to obeying the law which demands physical obedience we say we are not under it but the ones which borders on money that one we apply it and are force in fear to obey them. Thank you

Christians should give above the law ABOVE THE LAW NOT below the law, therefore if the law was 10% then Christians should give above 10% whether split in 100 places or one place. Tithing would mean to put the 10% in one place, so to GIVE in the new testament you split it into many places obeying giving ABOVE the law. REMEMBER "The tithe is the Lords" not any Churches or Cult. The tithe is the Lords for you to give above the Law unto the Lord by Faith. Even carnal men can tithe unto the Lord to Charities because all the wealth of the earth belongs to the Most High. The difference between the Old and New Covenant is that in the NEW covenant the Lord removes all differences between Tithes, Offerings, and Firstfruits and Alms etc. All are OFFERINGS nevertheless the Lords weighs the heart to know if he/she gives a worthy offering or not. We say we live in the dispensation of Grace and seedtime and harvest yet we give less than the Old Covenant? ABSOLUTE NONSENSE! Do we give less because we are poorer than those in the Old Covenant or some say they were for Jews ... however, Malachi says "Will A man rob God?" A man any human being with flesh and blood: will a man rob God? Some say Tithe have only planted fruit crops and farm produce: Do we still live under seed time and harvest and why do we still give Offerings and Charity today? Some say the Tithe was a tax by the Children of Israel to God as ruler: Really is our tax today more spiritual? Why do we use offerings in Church then? Notice I have mentioned only converting the 10%TITHE into giving in the NEW Testament dispensation as a minimum giving and not controlling where and how it is given as I am not an advocate of giving the 10% constantly to the same church week or month after month. But Christians total giving should be above 10% per income thereby living above the Law in grace.

Giving in the new testament is not a commandment, it's giving out of love, because God loves a cheerful giver. If giving and tithing is commanded then the church is a membership club of those who have money. That's not Christ like

We don't have such apostles again. They will carry the money and use on themselves. They compel the poor to give to them. They don't distribute to the poor saints. We don't even know who appointed them.

Mensah Otabil is a false teacher. Jesus never command any person to give tithe under the New Testament. The Apostles never mentioned in their books.
