This week on the Gratitude & Growth Podcast I sit with Dr. Natasha Kovacevic and we dive into Neuroplasticity, Emotional Regulation, the Subconscious Mind, Mental Hygiene, the (scientifically proved) importance of nature on the brain and SO much more! This was a mind blowing (ha ha) interview for me.
Dr. Natasha Kovacevic is a computational neuroscientist and serves as the founder of xSensa Labs and holds the position of Senior Director of Precision Psychiatry at Advanced Brain Monitoring. Her research is centered on leveraging contemporary brain imaging and computational methodologies to propel advancements in psychiatry. Through her work, Dr. Kovacevic aims to develop an objective, quantifiable approach to diagnosis and to empower individuals to take control of their mental well-being and unlock their full cognitive potential.
This episode was fascinating for me because I got to finally dive into the science behind positive thinking, gratitude, and our brain’s incredible ability to adapt and change. The science behind what happens to our brains when we think and focus on mainly negative thoughts and patterns vs. when we focus and think on positive mental patterns. We talk about how to keep your brain healthy, how to prevent certain illnesses, and sneaky things our brains are addicted to (like STIMULATION).
