Today on the show, we have Dr. Nilima Chitgopekar, she is an academic, mythologist, author, and one of the most learned people I have had the honour of meeting. She is an associate professor in the department of History at a college in Delhi, a writer, and a published poet. She has also been involved in making online films on gods and goddesses that have sold worldwide.
In this episode, we discuss how to make complex aspects of Hinduism more accessible, the divine feminine and divine masculine, and so much more. This is an incredibly deep and philosophical piece on shiva and shakti. We discuss the true representation of Lingam, devi energy, 6th sense, protection & more. Enjoy this episode.
Please feel free to drop your thoughts about the podcast on any of our socials, what other topics would you like us to cover, guest suggestions, and anything you would want us to improve on? My team and I are always looking for your feedback. Thank you for all the support.

Hello beerbiceps and team! I'm of hindu descent via mauritius and then Canada. Just wanted to say thank you for all your work and dedication to re-educate our people. I grew up not knowing a thing about my roots until the last couple of years (I'm about 10 years older than you) and just started listening to your podcast a few months ago. Also a huge fan of Rajarshi Nandy on your show...I watched the first 3 probably 4 times each so far. Thanks again 🙏

Yet more excellent content. For all it's worth I just wanted to say this, keep in mind I'm English, White & born to a Christian family. I came to this multi-sided faith of "Hinduism" by chance & a deep feeling towards Durga which later branched out to Matangi, Kali, Dhumavati, Chamunda & also Shivya. At several Aarti events I've felt something in the room coming from the Durga figure which is beyond words & its even "moved" which was a little alarming. On February 18th at the all night Shivya Puja I felt the same thing coming off a woman while she did her Puja, the air around her went "thick" & the place felt like an electrical charge in the air, if anyone knows Dragonball Z when the characters charge up before a fight that's what it made me think of. This Shakti is REAL & it's no joke. More "Western" people need to understand this in my view. Jai maa Durga. Jai maa Kali Devi.

Listening to this podcast should make people see the other side of feminine energy! Raw, ferocious and unapologetic. Powerful and completely wild and untamed and free spirited! Ok being someone from odisha I'll tell you whatever she said about us having that sort of story about kali is all true. Up to this date almost all of us have heard this story in our childhood and grown with it this is what I lived with. This is the first time in my life I have heard about it and I am blown away. Thank you sooo much for telling us the real story about it. Odisha is a great place but very less is known about it even to us. I myself didn't knew about the 64 yogini temple existing in odisha and there are 2 of them when I researched. Only 4 temple in whole country and 2of it in Odisha and barely known. Thank you so much enlightening us mam and thank you so much ranveer for bringing mam to show 🙏🙏

Thanks a million Ranveer for bringing Madam Nilima to us. I am working on Shree Vaibhava Lakshmi Maha Yantra. I had accidentally stumbled upon it few months ago and I painted it myself (doing a transliteration) and that led me into painting Ashtalakshmis in little girl forms. I used all these elements for the 9-week pooja at my apartment in Sønderborg, Denmark. Along the whole process whatever information I and my small team had collated about the Yantra, we want to put it out there for the people to see. So, we are kick-starting this task this very week and you upload this video!!! I'm not sure whether you will personally get to read this message - I would like to give my sincere thanks to you and your team. My God bless you my dear brother!!!

I don't know why these days I don't feel like hearing podcast, everything in my life is messedup. But I feel attracted to your Rajshi Nandas podcast and this one as well. I'm right now having high fiver but still can't stop listening to this. I do relate to you when you say content and Guru's find your way. I don't know how but I do understand your quest for knowing shakti

Some of us westerners aren't fans of the religions that have been stolen from their people. So much as been lost. I connect closely to ancient Hindu teachings. I've also been visited by Parvati in a meditation. Great podcast

@@BeerBiceps Ranveer can you bring a good scholar who has great knowelge of Hinduism and ask him about is it actually immersing Ganesha idols and Durga idols in river or sea a direspectful act of those deities .This kind of culture is prevelant only in North India.Not in South India. North Indians do this out of ignorance I think. Jagat Guru Adi Sankaracharya was against animal sacrifices. He asked the devotees to offer coconut and offer guruthi with mixing kumkuma in it instead of animal sacrifice. Somebody should come forward to reform certain crude aspects in Hinduism soon. We should give more importance to swatika kind of poojas.
@santhukumar3715
@santhukumar3715 Жыл бұрын
@Chaitanya Kumar I was not trying to talk about North versus South issues. Mostly people from north follow these traditions .those people whom you mentioned were following the foolish rituals of the ignorant some ignorant people. .Ganapati bhagvan will not bless those people who throw His idols like this .His curse will be upon these people. Same with the immersion of Durga idols also. Modern Hindus are not fanatics as people of some other religions. If someone tries to point out their follies they are ready to change. In ancient period not only animals were sacrificed but human beings were also sacrificed in almost all religions all over the world. Now it has been limited to animal sacrifice only. Killing animals for food is also a part of the primitive culture. When man becomes truly cultured he becomes vegetarian irrespective of all religion and nations. And that will be the real Heaven. Prophets and Saints should appear in almost all ages in this modern world also with more intelligence and analytical powers than those prophets and Saints of the barbarian periods.But these modern day prophets and saints are labelled as mete philosophers or intellectuals so their voices are not heard properly .Otherwise they should act as Human God's or Baba's.

Sharing a personal experience. It was late at night around 11pm and out of no where this thought strikes my mind and I have a realisation that the Shiv ling is actually “ the male sex part “ attached with yoni being the base as seen as most of the temples. When I googled to find the truth a lot of people denied the fact and said no you can’t call and compare shiv ling to such things. But I knew somehow I was right I started looking up for images as mentioned in the podcast the structures built back in 500 CE Were realistic ones. Just that people aren’t so comfortable to say it and imagine it that way now. To my surprise this is the podcast. I don’t know if that thought meant something. Why it came suddenly but I’m so glad it did

No hate to her and you.The only non human made shivlings are the 12 jyotirlinga and non of them looks like private part of men and even some even Don't fit the shape of shivling. The shivling she is talking about is related to story she talks about in 55:48 . You should check the full story of daruvana, in-short Shiva takes a form of naked beggar and seduced wife's of sages and they cursed him that his private part will fall off and his private part fell and became a pillar. And that's a representation of the pillar we see in Google of pillar with him being the beggar in front of the ling. 2nd the shivling ravan wanted to take to Lanka was Shiva himself manifested himself as shivling and under some circumstances couldn't as he was not allowed to put it in ground and he did indirectly so in anger he pressed it with his thumb and it's still can be seen and even that doesn't look like a male private part. It's in gola gokaranath, UP.
