You are so right on and many women have died because of being sent away thinking they had the flu or indigestion. Heart attacks sadly remain the number 1 killer of women. This Oz episode was me. I had the silent heart attacks on January 3, 2011 at 41 years old. The cause was from genetic high LDL cholesterol known as Familial Hypercholesterolemia and elevated lipoprotein a in which you can't feel plaquing and damaging your arteries until it becomes a major health crisis such as a heart attack or stroke. That part of my story wasn't shared and wished it was. Many people have what is called Familial Hypercholesterolemia and are unaware. Many people have high cholesterol that don't lower regardless of diet, exercise, and medication. Often the Familial Hypercholesterolemia and/or elevated lipoprotein a are the causes.

It feels like chronic fatigue, severe indigestion, flu like symptoms. Not the traditional heavy chest pains like an elephant sitting on your chest.
