I said to use orange soda of whatever kind i suggested crush or 7up since i feel those would go pretty well but the 7up might be a bit to close to the mtn dew so idk about that one maybe the spiced coke they just released would be interesting

Cheerwine sounds good, but all the Cheerwine-derived products I've had were not very good. There is a Cheerwine Ale and it's meh. *I had some Cheerwine from Biscuitville for lunch.*

6% is a bit low, you have added a bit of sugar to it to get around 12% and then it can sulfited and be a bit more shelf stable

If I remember correctly you need to use 118 yeast because that Dr pepper has preservatives in it and it's going to slow down the fermentation process

A great number of aldehydes and acids make up the flavor compounds of fruits beyond just sugar. Benzaldehyde is considered the definitive cherry flavor/smell for instance, despite only making up a small part of how they taste and smell.

Start with the DP syrup, just add water for volume. That way no carbonation issues, and you can control the sugar level.

Okay, I'm in the part of the Carolinas where they have a local brand called Cheerwine. It's pretty good and has a cane sugar version on the glass bottles. They are very sweet but good, least for me. Cheerwine was even accused by Karens back in the day, claiming that they were selling real wine to kids (Its cane sugar soda), but maybe you can reignite that fear! Bet a Cheerwine wine would be interesting

Fun fact, Dr Pepper tried to market themselves as a winter drink because they realized soda doesn't sell well when it's cold, so they made "hot Dr Pepper" you take Dr Pepper and heat it to just before boiling, then you pour it over a thin slice of lemon. It's basically a thicker tea.

I think you should consider using the syrup version various sodas instead of straight from the bottle as the syrup version has more 'sugar" concentrated so it should make the alcohol content much higher in some of the wines.
