I love this man. He was actually my GP at one point, way before he was famous and known to the rest of the world. I find a lot of GPs are burnt out, you can feel it as you walk into the room, just another annoying patient to attend... But I always felt this man cared, gave very good advice, made your problem feel important and was super professional. Very few doctors are just born to want to understand the source of the problem and help you in the best way they can, so I am very happy for his success, he really deserves it.

The NHS are brilliant if you walk in with your arm at a funny angle but diagnostics are terrible (in my experience). The amount of times I've been sent for tests and weeks later chase them up to find that nothing has been found. No one wants to be a nuisance so you tend to live with it if the doctor doesn't seem bothered.

To be fair it’s actually how doctors used to be before real specialization existed. Secondly and most importantly though there should be soooo much more work put into disease >prevention

Dr Chatterjee is awesome. My partner and I are already having the 5 minute chat thing because we only see each other 3 or 4 times a week. I'm an introvert and am naturally blunt in my speech and I've had to learn to be more empathetic and go through the polite niceties. It's funny because it's made me a better person and calmed me down. Modern life is a curse really and I've withdrawn from the things that upset me and taken up art and walking.

Thank you so much Dr Chatterjee for your life mission to help people around the world in this way. Not many people can do that. I believe you are born to make an impact on people's lives and make this world a much better place by radiating your love and passion in everything that you do for us!! My sister recommends you as her "mind & health guru" and she lives in Sweden. You are very popular and loved in Sweden as you are loved here in London.!!! I am just about to order your books now. xx

Prevention of modern diseases is a lifestyle choice and should be promoted in as natural way as possible. I admire Ranjan’s ‘coming out’ of the NHS adherence to prescription drugs. Ask your GP about a natural remedy (a) they don’t and wouldn’t know because that was not in their teaching and (b) any suggestion other than a pharmaceutical drug would be against the rules and principles of their training. What is being forgotten here is that the NHS was set up and continues to be supported by funding from pharmaceutical companies. It is in their best interests that doctor’s training is diagnosis then prescription. These founders are not interested in advocating health by any other means than their drugs. But please Ranjan keep on with the great work you are doing and heal us all.

Just love Dr Rangan. Could listen to him all day & he clearly really cares about his patients & the wider population. His passion is infectious and I hope he’s proud of the changes he’s making in the world of medicine & health. He empowers people & hopefully many of his GP colleagues are now starting to do the same by implementing what he teaches them. No doubt his dad would be very proud! Not to leave Krishnan out, love him too!!

Big up Dr Chatterjee,all those comments about it not taking five minutes to tell us ....well goodluck to those people,I wonder what they are doing to make the world a better place.So easy to criticise and make snide remarks much less easy to actually effect change and make a difference in people's lives or your own.Dr Chatterjee is someone who is trying to make a difference.For those who is has come into contact with and who have been suffering severe and chronic health issues his approach and guidance has helped people move forward in ways they never thought possible so I would listen carefully if I was you but that does take a certain humility that not all have unfortunately.

I agree with this doctor wholeheartedly that connection with other people is very important. But the sad fact remains, in today's very busy world, few people seem to wish to devote their time to others. The world has changed: people have become egocentric and money-grubbing. If there's nothing in it for them, they don't want to know. There has been a very big change in society in a very short time.

@xelakram

@@francesjecmaloney8977 I am as well as can be expected under these difficult circumstances re the pandemic. Thank you for asking. How are you doing? Yes indeed! In my lifetime, things have changed a lot. Some things have changed for the better; but many things have not. Much can be said about the changes that have occurred. One of the first things to be observed, in my opinion, is that we have lost our sense of community. People these days lead very independent lives; and as a result, hospitality seems to be a thing of the past. And there have been many other changes besides. What changes have you observed?

I just want to add ( or rather remind myself what I am learning in my course ATM) is there are 5 stages of Change in Behaviour to be induced ( I think this works in making mgmt plans/ tx plans ) so, according to it precontemplarion, contemplation , Preparation , Action and Maintenance . So any behaviour change in a person ( patient) can be induced at preparation stage and again in maintenance stage there is a chance if relapse ( which should be noted by GP ) and then motivated to continue the changed behaviour

The interview last 40 some minutes, but Dr Chatterjee can indeed tell you how to change your life... or make it better in 5 minutes.... now continuing on that path (change) requires motivation because to change requires effort, after the new behavior becomes a habit... from that on it should be easy down the hill.... promise you!

yes! first step it's always the hardest, because you are in the worst condition in your journey. As soon as you start changing one little habit, and see a notable difference, you literally CAN'T STOP it's like ADDICTING in a good way because you are addicted to feeling better and that drives you to do all these habit changes, that I think are the things most important in our lifes, no amount of money can buy you well-being, tranquility, peace, it's all in your hands and I think that's the most exciting!

Ignorant. How many physicians do you see or hear that take their personal time to give you their professional thoughts. He could have done 5 minutes and made you buy his books to really get the information like most do. He is not judgmental. It is not his way or the highway unlike the majority of physicians on the internet. He is kind, doesn't criticize, ridicule or demean anyone or other ideas unlike so many others. He merely and humbly shares from both his personal and professional experience...FOR FREE. Maybe listen and learn.
