What US describes as the gains from the Afghan invasion are not enough compared to the loss of soldiers and the trillions of dollars spent....maybe they've gained from the Afghan mineral wealth and cannot of course reveal that and after exhausting the wealth, they mind less about the power struggles and the effects on the People. The Talibans displaced the Mujahedin and following the overthrow of the Taliban by the US forces, the Afghan gov't took power and the Talibans blame the Afghanistan govt of accommodating Mujahedin in gov't positions now. However many Afghans youths with foreign backing disagree with the sharia restrictions of the Taliban and we're likely to see a completely war torn Afghanistan again. Thx for the show.
