I'm Breanna Cannell and I started Irish dancing when I was about seven years old. Irish dance is like a combination of other different forms of dance put together. I’ve done a lot of competitions over the year probably close to a hundred. I competed and placed at multiple nationals and then qualified for the world Irish step dancing championships and I also did place at worlds. It was February of 2017, I had came down from a jump one practice and I just landed horribly wrong and when I came down it came out from underneath me causing me to face plant onto the ground. And I got told by the doctors that I was going to be ok, and that everything was alright and I just knew something else was wrong. My Mom got a knee replacement done by someone at Coordinated Health and her Doctor informed my mother about Dr Sauer. When I saw Dr. Sauer he told me that my muscles and ligaments where overstretched and that my ankle was very loose. Ultimately he decided that it was going to require surgery. Dr Sauer went in and cleaned up some of my scar tissue as well as tightening my muscles and ligaments. My recovery was about six months. For the first couple weeks it was very difficult and I was just not ok with not being able to move. And then I got into physical therapy and it was absolutely phenomenal. It was just such a good experience. Dr Sauer was a phenomenal doctor, I would go back to him in a heartbeat. Today I’m almost a year out and I have come back stronger, better, and more clean with my moves and I just look better overall when it comes to my dancing it just looks more natural to me now.
