@@JohnWickkkkkkkkk it may be his mother tongue, but when you've been brought up outside your native place, your grasp on the language is not as great as native speakers. As a malayali brought up in karnataka, my malayalam is not the best and I speak with (what my relatives say) an accent, because I have not been exposed to the authentic malayalam. But regardless of all these factors, he speaks the language eloquently and is able to express himself freely(something most people brought up outside the place find difficult to do). And he speaks it with the authentic accent, even though he has a very British English accent. Like if I hadn't seen his face, I would have thought that it was one of my uncles speaking malayalam. It's that good. So yes, it is truly applaudable and there's no need to dismiss it just because it is his mother tongue.

This person is an highly educated politican in india right now, and normally an educated Malayali while speaking malayalam they tend to mix or add English in between their conversation, but look at this gentleman who is known for as the best English speaker has no tantrums , this shows quality of a man . salute you Shashi Tharoor sir 👍👍👍👌👌👌

His Malayalam has an elegant, blue-blooded character to it, especially notable at the end of the sentences. It's VERY subtle, but it's there. It's a dialect, and very endearing.

In this one, Mr. Johny's questions were spot on & Dr. Tharoor answered them all with great clarity & ease. Please insert subtitles & share it widely. Manoj Joseph I gues Malayalam political Analysts will stand on top of the charts even when we compare it with the US . The questions are very thought provoking still Kerala tops the chart for corruption , second rates women - Eve teasing and abusing women in broad day light is common and walking out after after sun set is a NO NO . To add to this government inefficiency and local police are the Goondas muscle men . Lawyers being unethical are detrimental to the justice of the people . Even as I write the word justice , it seems so foreign to the Indian society . All talk , No action , what is the point ?

In Andhra , there’s a MP called Galla Jayadev Actress Lakshmi Manchu and some actors though they spend few years in Western Countries , they pretend as if. They dont know telugu but they live with our grace.... but this man though he spent his childhood and most of his time away from kerala but his command in Malayalam and unhesitatingly speaking malayalam is great

This is the difference between Tamizh-speaking people and others while speaking in their mother tongue. Even though Mr. Shashi Tarur was brought up outside Kerala his Malayalam is pure and good. He is not mixing English while speaking Malayalam

Have got to adorn how well educated this human being is . He is a blue print of why an Individual should seek for the right and deserved education. The talent of finding and understanding the pov of the opposite party is just as important as justifying one's educational properties .Also props to the interviewer for using well built Malayalam language rather than going for a take in English like a lot people does.

Shashi Tharoor is a class apart than every other Indian politician, the way he speaks is impeccable, whether Malayali or English, its not the words, its his way of delivering those! I am a Bong and my knowledge of Malayalam is limited to "Swargathille Kattarambhu". Naturally, I didn't understand even a sentence of this conversation, but when I heard the words Dalit and Upper Caste being mentioned, I knew he was speaking on some social issue, and he was speaking with genuine empathy. I didn't hesitate in giving him a LIKE. 👍

Definition of Hind is north India, north of the centrally located vindhya mountain range. South of this range is called Dravida. North India is also called Arya Vrata. These are puraanic source definitions. Both north and south combined are called Bharat Varsha. Hinduism's proper Vedic name is Sanatan Dharma, all panths originating in Bharat Varsha come under Sanatan dharama.

He seems to be lacking the richness of lexicon that is his formidable weapon when it comes to English. Whilst talking in English, he uses simple yet effective expressions to get the point across effortlessly. This doesn't happen here. But fluent nonetheless.
