I just finished season 1 of this show. I didn't think I'd like it, as it's a shonen anime without any sort of super-magical powers or whatever (no Nen or anything), just all pure science, but I wound up really liking it a lot. It's really cool and unique, seeing Senku and his buddies getting stronger by just reinventing stuff from the modern age rather than them, like, training to perfect a move or whatever. Also, Senku is 10 billion times more of a scientist than Rick Sanchez; all of Senku's inventions are based on real-world actual applications of science, while Rick's stuff is all just basically magic.

let's say it has science in it but if you say it is scientifically accurate then No and this is why it still has a bad reputation today because they advertised it as a scientifically accurate inviting a lot of ridicule.

@@CK-wv5hg And he is still silent... I searched up things if I didn't understand if they were real... like almost all of them aaand all of them are accurate. You can't call it a sci fi. All the rules and recepies are real. The only thing exagurated are the strenght of these humans and some things they do are obviously styliesed for anime

bruh no "most educational shows ever" you would literally have had to watch no actual educational media to say that and if you went to school no it uses science in it is story but if you try to put this show on a "Scientifically accurate" pedestal you would be doing the show a massive disservice.

@@xxx10353 I mean, besides the obvious miracle fluid and stoning stuff, the actual science used is almost fully and completely real and accurate. There's even a disclaimer at the end that says that the science used is accurate to reality and that no one should attempt performing it as it's dangerous and illegal

@@danknibba7735 SuperhumanS and super strength, An all knowledgeable superhuman which can hold all human knowledge that even our top supercomputers can not manage(Senku), a lot of time skips a process which would take months takes a minute or an hour, Materials that are fully abundant in the show are not even in Japan, a lot of made-up places and sites that do not exist in Japan, and I am not even going to touch the history since D1 they got it wrong and those are some of the things in the show. While somethings are true if you hold it to scientifically accurate or an educational show it fails. KenLinx is a prime example of the fanbase of the anime.

@@xxx10353 Well, the fact of superhumans makes sense for the story telling, so they are not the biggest problem, but there are a lot of mistakes during the episodes(all of them) and they are a problem.

01:30 If you mean the round one, it's not a beaker, it's called round-bottom flask. The conical ones are called Erlenmeyer flasks. Beakers, on the other hand, are usually cylindrical, with a beak (as the name suggests ;) ).

A lot of things are true or at least have a big part of truth in it. The mangaka tried a lot of things themself (one of the food you see senku make in the village for example (no spoil))

You know most of the negative criticism of this anime is from "based on real science" right? The show has some cool facts but under any serious examination it fails to be scientifically or historically accurate the show takes a lot of liberties ignores a lot because "plot" Aka look at it as a show and stop putting it on a pedestal or you will end up ruining the show for yourself.

Beastars has the potential to be Anime of the year, but since it came out in 2019 it has no chance against other, more popular shows Still the Manga is amazing and the Anime has been doing a great job at being loyal to it, and even if it´s cg, it´s good cg
