@@MrGaryGG48 First of all, the 747 DOES HAVE reverse thrust capabilites, but their steering is limited, as they need a pushback tug. Also the brakes and the momentum that the 747 has, would most likely cause it to crash and create severe structural damage.

Ah, but you can! Please go get your license! If not your PPL (Private Pilot License) then your Sport or Recreation license. They cost about half as much as a PPL course and have limitations to where and when you can fly; but as the FAA continues to develop their definitions of what a Light-Sport Aircraft is, the door for cheaper flying opens wider. There is a huge shortage of pilots in Commercial and General Aviation fields. If you have a passion for it, please go take a discovery flight at your local FBO.

"DRACO in backing into the hangar was the most "Drop the mic" moment i have seen in aviation." I can relate to that. In 1969 when I was dropped off in Vietnam by a C-123 at Dau Tieng Base Camp on the dirt runway, he left and an OV-10 landed. The OV-10 taxied in front of me, then backed into a parking spot. I thought, "What the Hell"??? I've loved turboprops ever since.

Mike is such an inspirational character. After finding out about him through your (Trent) videos, I went over to his channel and watched every single build video he had made, absolutely incredible. I had to know more, so I did some research into Mike himself. A truly self made man, the American dream, a “hero” if you will. Not only did his build videos and your positive attitude and enjoyment of flying motivate me to start working on my own mechanical projects (1970 Camaro 383 touring car), but his success in spite of personal adversity inspired me to overcome my own shortcomings. Thank you to the both of you. I grew up without a dad, but men like you two give me role models and goals that make me a better man. Thanks guys. -Nic

Very nice comment Baychevy! Its nice to see positive caring people out there! I felt some of the same feelings while watching Trent's and Mikes vids. My father used to take me and my sister flying with him in a little Cesena until he left us when I was 9yrs old. I still love airplanes but I never did get my license to fly them unfortunately. I run across Trent's videos a few weeks back and I'm so glad I did, I now stop in almost daily just for the smile, inspiration and breath of fresh air I get from watching these videos and the nice guys here! Keep working on that Camaro! Have a nice day!

Smart Flying makes flying fun! I was a US Army Ranger with the 101st ABN Div. 327th INF. Recon. We jumped out of anything that would fly! I have been in two helicopter crashes, and in a C-119 flying box-car (flying coffen) that just regained power the last few critical seconds before crashing. Above our Mess-hall door was a sign that said: "The Sky, even more than the sea, is most unforgiving for even the slightest mistake." You pilots know how to keep it safe! Bless you, and thank you for sharing all that you do!

You have options! If you do not wish to pursue a career in Aviation as a Commercial Pilot, you should look into your Recreation or Sport licenses. A long time ago, about 1980 when ultralights were a new thing, I was crewing at a very small alternative music festival in Suffolk, England. Walking across a wide open space in the carparking field, i heard a noise of engines behind me, turned and saw six ultralights, fixed-wing or delta-wing types, coming in and landing near me. To my amazement, the guys stepping out were in jeans and black leather motorcycle jackets. I asked who they were, and there said, "We're a motorcycle club from the Colchester area (Essex), and we suddenly realised these things are flying motorcycles. And you don't even need a license to fly them!" They walked over to the festival stage (having bypassed the ticket gate!), watched a couple of bands, had a beer and flew off again. The funny thing is, though flying bikers is an amazing idea, no-one else I ask in England has ever seen or heard of these guys, and I never saw them again.

Love your videos Trent!! Makes me want to get back into flying again. I earned my PPL back in 82. Did my 1st bi-annual in 84. Joined the Navy in 85, spent 7 years there and haven't been current ever sense. Life took over. LOL!

Wow Pink lake and salt island. Looks like different planet. Draco is a wonderful plane and beautifully engineered. But it doesn't mean that yours and other planes are any less. Cheers

It definitely did! The steering dampener didn't do a whole lot. Something tells me Mike will be working on that shortly.

that wheel can turn 360 degrees or even 720 degrees or turn forever, and it would not hurt the steering system or the rudder one bit.. Pretty clever design, that tail wheel, Mike Patey explaned it in one of his building videos.

Some Polish Wilga's history (sorry for translation). Versions : • Wilga 35A - basic version designed for aeroclubs, equipped with a hook for towing gliders, manufactured since 1968. • Wilga 35H - version of a seaplane on floats, created in Polish-Canadian cooperation, flown on October 31, 1979 (in Canada). • Wilga 35P - the flown version flown in 1968 differs from the 35A version only by the lack of a towing hitch. Aircraft of this type are used by Polish military airforce. • Wilga 35R - agricultural version flown in 1978 taking 300 liters of chemicals. • Wilga 35S - sanitary version flown in 1968. One aircraft was created for Polish sanitary aviation. • Wilga 40 - modified version of the Wilga 35 flown in 1969 (it had moving slats and a plate tail). Only 2 prototypes were created. • Wilga 80 - adjusted to American regulations (FAR), serial version from 1979 equipped with PZL AI-14RA engine. • Wilga 80/1400 (80H) - a 1982 float version driven by the PZL AI-14RD engine with a power of 206 kW (280 HP). • Wilga 88 - development version developed from 1983 to the end of the 1980s. The main task of the designers was to improve the speed characteristics of the aircraft. This was planned to be achieved by effectively reducing the aerodynamic drag. A new lightweight flap without a slot was used, with a light, single brace and a thoroughly modified chassis. From the previous models, Wilga differed, among other things, the number of passengers increased to 5. For this reason, the fuselage was changed. In general, it was a structure so far removed from the Wilga plane that it was called the new Flaming structure. The first prototype was flown on November 9, 1989, the flight test was carried out by the first pilot class mgr inż. Jerzy Jędrzejewski. A total of three machines were created: two prototypes with M-14P and AI-14RDP engines (its license version) and PZL-105L with Textron Lycoming IO-720 engine with 295 kW (400 HP), which was to give rise to the export version. It also assumed the production of a sports version, passenger-passenger version (for 4-5 passengers or 450 kg of cargo), agricultural (with a tank for 500 kg of chemicals) and patrol, sanitary and geological. The main problem of the prototype during the flights was improper stall characteristics, which did not allow the aircraft to be used. The financial problems of the PZL factory in Okecie as well as the priority production of the PZL-130 Orlik ordered by the army, caused the Wilga development project to be suspended, stopping at the production of the Wilga 2000 aircraft. • PZL-104M Wilga 2000 - version with the Lycoming boxer engine, modified wing (including the removed slot above the fuselage) and improved aerodynamics, produced since 1998, used by aeroclubs. • PZL-104MF Wilga 2000 - patrol version for the Border Guard. • PZL-104MN Wilga 2000 - version from 2001. • PZL-104MW Wilga 2000 Hydro - float type variant Wilga 2000 flown on September 19, 1999. • PZL-104MA Wilga 2000 - the version was created in 2005 in cooperation with EADS. More streamlined engine bonnet, elongated shaft and three-blade propeller. Attention is also paid to the fin in front of the vertical stabilizer and winglet. The distribution of instruments inside the cabin was also changed and avionics enriched. These changes resulted in improved flight characteristics (speed, range), with deterioration of STOL features and slightly greater noise than the drive unit. I am glad that you are delighted with this plane. This is probably the legend of Polish aviation. :* :* :*
