Despite the fact this Dracula is probably more evil than his other Castlevania counterparts, the way the show depicts him does make it a lot easier to sympathise with him
@Luke414612 жыл бұрын
I think the way the show depicts him vs other Dracula counterparts makes his sort of an anti hero. No villain. They kill for sport, for fun. He kills from pain, suffering, despair. He is depressed. Purposeless.

Game Dracula is more like Ganondorf from legend of zelda, the embodiment of evil, show Dracula is more like the protagonist of the 1st season

"THERE ARE NO INNOCENTS!" The voice acting is just fucking amazing and so was this video you did a great job.

"Not anymore!" The heart-break as he just convinced himself that this is what he is going to do. The full sentence is peak of emotional power of pain, spite and the need for vengeance. Beautiful.

can feel the pain in his voice

What I wouldn't give to have been in the vocal booth to watch the voice actors speak their lines. *_ESPECIALLY_* Graham's. The delivery and punctuation, every syllable burning with zeal and passion for the role.

the line "my boy... I'm killing my boy... Lisa I'm killing our boy... i must already be dead." gets me every time you can feel Dracula's love for his son and wife. he might have been the villain but he was a good father. It is also so telling when he starts addressing Lisa's picture the "my" becomes "our" and your reminded this fight is not heroic for Alucard or Dracula its a father and son fighting not just hero against villain.
@SoulidiumHollow2 жыл бұрын
That line always breaks my heart when he says that.
@XArctracerX2 жыл бұрын
I always figured Dracula saying “I must already be die” is what gave Alucard enough reason to kill him it was that moment that solidified that Dracula wanted to die and his mission was suicide and I think it would be best for that to be what gave Alucard enough courage to kill him
@SoulidiumHollow2 жыл бұрын
@@XArctracerX I agree, he was defeated when he realized he was slowly losing it, realizing that Lisa didnt want this of him.

"There ARE no innocents, not anymore! Any one of them could have stood up and said "NO, we wont behave like animals anymore." The dialogue alone in this series is amazing. Ranging from Dracula's lines to 'What the hell is toilet paper." x'D This series is the perfect love letter to this series.

Every man has the potential to do evil, but if you take away the thing he loves most in the world, then you turn him into a monster.

This is how you write a great villian! You can easily see why he would choose to kill everybody.

See in his situation I would choose to kill everybody the fact they can make you sympathise with genocide is really something

Difficult to understand who was more evil Dracula or the people who stood there and support the execution

I don't think kthe people themselves besides the bishop were evil, religeon is a powerful and terrible tool. People of all eras become blinded by religeon, modern and ancient.

My only complaint to the plot of Castlevania the first season. "WHERE WAS ALUCARD WHILE THEY WERE BURNING HIS MOM?" He was obviously around..... Somewhere....... Revenge, is one thing, forgiveness is another, but so is paying attention to current events.... Was he always Schitzo?

The saddest part of all of this is Lisa likely would have made it to heaven if she hadn't been married to Dracula
@ApexWolfPR2 жыл бұрын
I dont think she being married to dracula mattered at all, she was a person of good who worked to help other people and served as a medic, she had such a great hearth that she managed to make a horrifying being like dracula cosider human life and even give them a chance.... if anything she was doing gods will on dracula changing his heart but human intervention ruined that

this was such a good show if they continue it i hope they dont ruin it
