Wow, been wanting to see this for AGES, and frankly this wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I really hope a new live action or anime version is made that retains the seriousness of the first two Blade movies is made someday, as I believe it would well worth watching.

1980, an animated television movie based on Marvel Comics The Tomb of Dracula was released.The film was called Yami no Teio Kyuketsuki Dracula (Dracula: The Vampire Emperor of Darkness). Much of the main plot was condensed and many characters and subplots were truncated or omitted. The film was animated in Japan by Toei and sparsely released on cable TV in North America in 1983 by Harmony Gold dubbed into English and under the title Dracula: Sovereign of the Damned.

I watched the beginning of this on TV one Halloween around 25 years ago and have been wanting to see it again ever since but I never knew the title, until now. All I remembered was a vampire crashed through a window to rescue a woman from a satanic cult and there was an awkward romantic element between them. This movie is SO much worse than I remembered, lol. Bad Anime Library indeed. :D

The perfect actor for dracula would have been Vincent Price. Dracula even looks like Vincent :)

"Beautiful Dolores?!" Dolores is pretty "She a doll to me!". I like her pretty face, hair, eyes, cheeks, nose, arms, and hands. She wears sleepwear and dress skirts for pretty broad to wear pretty clothes. She has morals in her that she regrets and her mistakes (that's what I like about her). I just read about this movie....! and yes, its based on "The Tomb of Dracula" from Marvel Comics. I always thought Dracula would be dorky ....but that was before i read that comic....amazing, i can recommend it to all :) This movie is......fun....but doesnt come anywhere near the greatness of the comic :)

I can safely say that anybody who worked on this abomination lost their job very quickly.

Its soooooooooo much better in french, they didn´t make the narrator sound cheesy and that is a real plus in comparason.
