The question refers to the difference of the writing in a "normal" series airing on TV and specifically Netflix shows - the latter offers the writers the "luxury" of taking more time to focus on e.g. character development or the story itself. There is no necessity in putting an enormous story in the individual episodes which is different from the shows on TV since Netflix airs the entire season at once which gives the viewer the opportunity to view it "as a whole" rather than fragments.
