Horses have more sense and work ethic than many people I know. The horse : builders of civilizations - a selfless, noble animal.

Geeez. Those horses worked their ass off pulling that log out just to have the guy cut it in half when he got it out. Next time cut it in the woods for Petes sake.

Are these logs for lumber or heating? The amazing thing about heating with wood is how fast it goes when the temp's drop. Winter really is the best time to log. I bring in all my own wood using a toboggan. Unlike an ATV or tractor, the horses provide so much... manure, companionship and more.

We always fell the trees, cut the logs the skid with the horse. I guess this way the horses get a break.

Where is here? This trailer looks to be a wallenstein talon. I believe they are an Ontario Canada mfg. there’s a couple other companies making them up there too. Jason fabricated a front section onto this trailer but metavac makes them for horses.

Where is this logging operation taking place, Canada or the United States.?
@justinallmond38552 жыл бұрын
Jason farms in north central wisconsin. So I am guessing not too far from there.

It's not Amish idiot, not everyone has motor moving tractors. Plus if you have draft horses, you should put them to good use

Tractor do lots of damage to the forest, plus it needs good roads.

They make less of an impact on the environment. Heavy equipment will tear up roads and young plants. Horses are cheaper in the long run, also.

I feel like you really reached me through your use of pure caps. As I read it, I pictured you bellowing it at the top of your lungs with the voice of an angel on crystal meth and though I am not a god fearing person I said a little prayer for your husband. I only hope it was enough.
