Cameron's character in this movie is so nice and ahead of her time, trying her best to befriend her fiance's best girl friend, like, i dont know if thats a cultural thing, but where i live some crazy straight people still think is like illegal to have friends of the opposite sex if you're in a relationship. Also Julia Robert's character is a rotten human being, id be like "sure, bring me back to the wedding, but then you stay outside and never come close to me ever again or im getting a restraining order against your crazy ass"

People don’t like their partners having friends of the same sex you’re attracted to. I understand it, like you saw in this film, you get people irl like Julia Roberts character, only instead of the man basically saying no he’ll go ahead with it. Not all men, women etc but if your S O has a friendship with the same sex they’re attracted to it does increase the odds of someone cheating doesn’t it? I’d be suspicious of my boyfriend (I’m gay) having another male friend and if my boyfriend was bi I’d be nervous of him having both male and female friends. Is it healthy? No. Is it a bit psycho? Yes. But this is how people’s brains work and the struggle that people have with trust, loyalty, cheating and paranoia.

The director of this film said he loved the idea of having the most attractive, intelligent, intriguing, and likeable character in the film be gay (and unattainable). And of course, he wanted the narrative and ending to defy our romcom expectations. This is my favorite romcom of all time!

Sometimes I’m just so bored with life or hate it.... then I watch Trixie and Katya and I’m teleported back to high school with my best friend making fun of people on TV and all is good. Most relatable people ever. Love them.

The reason all costume designers look like that is Edith Head. She won eight Academy Awards for costume design between 1950 and 1974. She had short dark hair and black framed glasses.

This might honestly be my favorite episode of ILTW yet. Love this movie, and Trixie's deadpan cold jokes had me l i t e r a l l y crying and laughing out loud! 10/10 coming back to this episode for a serotonin boost.
