Unfortunately Audi‘s performance cars = S and RS models have done a step back regarding overall performance ..... acceleration, handling etc. It is not really known why but rumours from Audi engineers say that it is due to the compromise between comfort and performance as the chassis = platform is limiting to achieve the same level as other sports cars do.

I’m kinda late but “same engine” isn’t TOTALLY correct because the engine fitted into the rs6 isn’t pushed to the 650 hp of the urus but to 600hp

Nahhh .. carwow raced the RS6 about 3 months ago against a Merc E63s, M5 Comp and Porsche Panamera. The RS6 literally got molested, there is no better way to describe its hurting performance.

@@xboxseriesx2925 e63s and panamera turbo s came out in 2017... When audi get a performance model they will also get a facelift. I dont know about porsche, but e63s will get a new EQ boost system. So maybe audi will still be slower....

Chris Liu The old Audi RS6 came with a 563bhp and 700nm, then the RS6 Performance came out with a 605bhp and 750nm and that really made a difference, the new Audi RS6 has 600bhp and 800nm. The Performance of this 2020 RS6 hopefully gets a upgrade to the engine.

Just open up the ECU in the RS6 and give it the same numbers as the Urus and the 0-60 will be much better. They turned the power down on the RS6 since they have the same power train. ABT will fix all the issues with that

Guys in my opinion, the closest battle and the toughest one you can have is Mercedes amg gt63 s 4 door coupe vs lamborghini urus. I've seen the gt63 s one beating the rs7 in a not close one, so im looking forward to that race. :)

@vladmus probably because he used the Paddles (M) and completely hits rev limiter immediately after the Roll. Every driver with common sense would pick 2nd Gear for a Roll from about 30mph(50kmh) like in this Video.

It's also about transmission, I wouldn't be surprised if Urus is actually tuned with "shorter" gears giving it faster acceleration. I mean, my Jeep WJ is stock and it's made for terrain more than drag racing, but it leaves similarly powerful Audi in dust from the line.

I think Audi rs products have been really exposed recently. Everyone know they didn’t handle as well as bmw and Mercedes. But they were always marginally quicker due to their early adoption of four wheel drive. Now merc and bmw are using 4wd they get thrashed in drag races and don’t handle as well. Plus you can switch to 2 wheel drive in the bmw and Mercedes

I'm a big RS fan but gotta say, the new RS6/7 have been slower than I'd expected. The standard M5 and e63 have consistently been faster and they've been out for a few years. Had previous gen RS7 (non-performance) and my Draggy times were faster than what I see on youtube for the newer versions.

@@usercs_2682 People are on here saying there's more to just speed like looks and practicality and they're correct but if you're spending that much money you want to at least be close to your competitors My C7 A6 Avant 3.0 Quattro is perfect for my 50kg Rottweiler so the M5 would be useless, the Merc however is just as practical as the RS6 but much faster and actually cheaper and can drift... Yep embarrassing!

Abit surprised, same engine in both, but Urus have ~45hp more but weight is about 100kg more. Would like to se both with a tune from same company, feels like the RS6 is were much "de-tuned". Checked few tuners and both cars end up with ~730hk/950nm with re-tune only, but RS6 starts at ~600hk/800nm and Urus ~650hk/850nm. VW Group defending Lambo price with de-tune RS6 :)

Pretty similar power to weight ratio and drag coefficient numbers, so all I can think of is gearing, and the Lambo pushing more power than the official figure. Maybe in the 700HP neighborhood.

What’s the reason for having the window open then closing the window after starting off? These cars are aerodynamically designed for air to flow over them, opening a window breaks it all up.
