Turbo s was quicker off the line but was reeled in by the rs which looked consistent with the rs being 170 kg lighter and 50 BHP more

As the driver of the Turbo S I don’t mind admitting defeat. That GT2 RS is the daddy of 911’s after all. As Mark has said, safety was paramount. Mine was lighting the tyres up in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears so to put the GT2 in the left-hand lane would have been a crazy decision.

These sorts of KZfaq video's take a huge amount of time / effort and money to produce... so all credit to Mark for making these events happen so we can all enjoy it! We cannot legislate for the weather in the UK - but overall - this was a great video this one!

Dont get how people are complaining about the Turbo S being in the 'wet' lane when it would be even worse for the 2RS. Makes sense to put the 4wd in the more challenging condition when given the option. At least it gives the 2RS a fighting chance.

Gt2rs is such an amazing car but wow that 992 is a sleeper. With that much more weight and 50hp less it keeps up with the rs damn close.

Just what i expected, the GT2 being 400lbs lighter and having 50 more hp would reel in the 911 turbo eventually. On a proper drag strip though these cars should be neck n neck

Both cars are so awesome! Love them both! Easily would take the GT2 RS out of the two. What a beautiful and capable car, the rear engine gives it good traction and it launched very well given the conditions. Awesome video, keep it up!

I’ve seen a few comments on here complaining that the runway was wet on my side. We turned up on the day and there had been a considerable amount of rain overnight that wasn't forecast...should we have just cancelled and wasted everyone’s time and money? Have a think about how much time and effort @888MF put in to organising this. Booking the runway. Booking the cars. Organising photographers and film crew. Editing. Taking time off work (believe it or not, running our cars up and down runways doesn’t pay the bills...) For the GT2 to win 2 out of 3 races is a testament to the car. I was at a massive advantage having 4WD but it still managed to reel me in and pass me. Yes conditions weren't ideal, and there were time constraints. Take the drag race for what it is; entertainment.

Happy that you chose the Turbo S to be in the wetter lane. This race pretty much mirrored what a totally dry race would have looked like between these cars

When one lane is pretty dry and the other might as well have standing water on it, I’d say it would be a good idea to alternate lanes so that one vehicle isn’t given the advantage of not having to launch through standing water. Wonder what the results would have been if this happened 🤷‍♂️.

The turbo S makes more financial sense, Infact, I still think the turbo S is the better drag car, given multiple options, it would smoke that RS on a straight, the RS is the exotic one...

I suggested that drivers should swap cars in order to keep things fair in one of your old videos. I didn't think you would actually follow through with it. This is awesome!!

In such wet surface you should of done some rolling races instead of standstill drags! Oh and that GT2 RS looks fantastic 👌

I refuse to belive that the GT2RS stands a chance against a good 992 Turbo S launch. 992 Turbo S does a quarter mile in 10.1 seconds. No way the GT2RS does it in the same time or more.

Interesting race. Agree with the comments about switching the lanes though. RS's line was bone dry. I'd also think that once they got up to 150 - 160mph the Turbo would walk away as the drag from the RS's aero became a factor.

You shouldn't only have changed drivers but more importantly the lines. The Turbo S always runs the wet strip while the GT2 RS always runs in the 'dry'. But nice video. Thanks.

992 Turbo s have been recorded running 10.1 second quarter mile times by many different reviews. Very hard for the rear drive Gt2Rs to run that fast. Rainy wet ground is not the way to do such a race. Ridiculous.

Cool race, but I can’t help but realize that the left side of the runway seemed noticeably more wet. Every stat book says that the Turbo S should be at least a few tenths faster to the quarter, especially in equal wet conditions

Good race... but can't but think that the left side of the runway was very wet compared to the right? Instead of switching drivers, I would have switched sides? I think the 992 would have come out on top overall then...
