Same, for me: know the premise & some references (if Baga even tried to make a reference to taking a hammer to Paul's foot on a headboard, I would've gotten that). That's a good example of Snatch Game: stay in character, get your references in, BUT still be able to listen to Ru & volley with him (don't just randomly "present a product from Droop" or fall asleep, at the desk, if it's NOT something your character would do).

My mum watched this movie when I was little and it scared the life out of me 😭😂 I found Baga really funny tbh but didn’t get the references as I haven’t seen it properly! But watching this made more sense and I was cracking up even more 🤣 thank you ☺️

OMG, same. This movie terrified me, I watched it such a young age (8 or 9). I remembered her look and voice from the movie and the ankle breaking, that’s about it. My mom LOVES Kathy Bates.

The lesson of this performance is that the children should stop being uncultured swines. Quite a few people put Baga through the mud without watching the movie, hence not understanding the references.

Not having seen a movie from 30 years ago is not being uncultured... Thinking that sounds more uncultured to me. Also it's a very specific reference and it's clearly targeted towards RuPaul and that's a great choice for the competition. Doesn't mean all the audience should know this one very specific reference, and without knowing it it's not necessarily going to be funny for everyone.
