GT TSI, GT TDI, 1.0 GT none can beat figo in acceleration. Period. Figo was such a balanced product. Space, Milage, Acceleration, No turbo lag, Easy to maintain. But what people look at is there is no place to store water bottle in the back doors

Figo is indeed has good torque for the weight. Here Figo is remapped. Polo 1.0 tsi is a potent engine. This same engine is available in Octavia in abroad with 200 NM torque tuning. If that tuning is available in polo, will be great. Also Polo is heavy but at top end performance, it could beat Figo.

Ford should make a comeback with a sedan version of the fiesta (to compete with Slavia), a Ford Puma to compete with the Creta/Seltos segment, and a Ford Equator to compete with the Fortuner.

India is loosing gems! Polo, Endy, Ecosport, Duster, Figo, Punto Abarth and we are getting substandard India specific cars like Kushaq, Seltos, i10......

Kushaq is not really India specific. The t cross on which it is based was already on other markets months before the kushaq and taigun was introduced here.

Ford's TDCI is a gem.. The people who owns Figo , freestyle and aspire diesel are true enthusiasts and these cars are one of its kind .. no car can beat it under 20 lakh.. Try with xuv700 both petrol and diesel and see the result🔥

at 2018 aspire had 1.5 dragon series engine which was awesome.... the figo didn't get that. figo stopped at at 2017 with older engine

Yes and i am using it 1.5 L AT model ,100 kmph is enough for Indian highways happy with it, overtakes also no issue . I heard ford is coming back to India , Hope it’s true

The only thing that drove me away from Polo was the cabin space. It's really congested inside. Figo was much better in terms cabin and boot space. Handling doesn't have much difference.

Handling wise these two are worse but figo is the worst because they ended the best handler global 1st gen figo and tried something cheap in developing markets like india.

I have a Diesel Ecosport sport variant and just love my car, bought it 1 year back and thankful that I didn't wait for a facelift like everyone was expecting, but in the end Ford sadly left. 1.5 L TDCi engine is a Gem of an engine. The handling and driving dynamics always puts a smile on my face. I have always seen Ford cars as a budget enthusiast's cars which won't burn your pocket in the name of maintenance, as opposed to my previous polo TDI. Polo was a great car, but constant check engine lights and minor issues was a headache and costly affair for us, but Polo Tdi was an amazing car as well.

yes .. polo 1.5 tdi is a good engine .. with more torque.. recently I saw the power of ecosport in street.. but when I put my polo pedal fully down.. I disappeared .. but I'm sure ecosport have good grunt..

I'm a proud owner of Figo S 1.5 TDCi; and I've been on the driving seat of Polo.. We can always feel the extended torque in a Figo, whereas, Polo has slightly more drivability.. Thanks Autocar for this.. even though it's a late show for Figo.. 🤪 Any Dieseltronic ECU users here? Any comments?

TDCi defeating TSI during breakfast. One of the most awaited video. I knew the result before the video started. Sad to see that this engine is no more available on sale. I always praised the Figo over POLO not only for its power but also becoz of its superior handling, dynamics and steering accuracy and feel. It was always one step ahead of POLO. I have noticed few going gaga for POLO only because it's a German. Autocar had to use Mercedes as Camera Car to keep up with Figo. Autocar, get all those made for India cars lined up against it, and let the TDCi smoke them all like a BOSS.

Ford 1.5 TDCI is very good. Wanted to say something out of this current video... I had 2011 figo for 9 years (sold in 2020). The problem is with the fuel-injectors. Around 40K kms you will start noticing the engine stalls when downshifting from 4th to 3rd gear. Then after an year or so, you will notice the engine jerks at 2000 rpm. Then one day got malfuction light in the dashboard. At this time you will have to change or clean the fuel injectors (14k for one new FI). That shattered my confidence in the engine and avoided long trips.

I've been using my Figo S Diesel for the past 4 years and best possible way to get the performance out, just upgrade to a performance tyre, stick with the stock 195/55-R15 specs. Diesel engine - 💎 Driving dynamics - always fun, especially if it's a Sport Edition. Maintainance - Pocket Friendly. Practicality - at its best, for the price. Features - No TV like screen and some other glitters & whistles, there's always a sturdy phone holder on the dash and a Chill AC, it's enough for me. Maybe, someday I'll tune the car for a much more Linear Power Delivery. Not now, for sure. It's a car that is truly enthusiastic straight from the factory line up. Huge respect for the Ford India to atleast test their motorsport Heritage here in India, decades before on Fiesta & Ikon.

Ford's were underrated gems and very affordable maintenance (lower than your average 2 wheeler) which most of them never realized. Proud to own 2 EcoSport TDCis (1 is with a stage 1+ remap) and it can put cars costing up to triple to shame! I wish Ford makes a comeback soon.. the figo with stage 1+ is an absolute blast to drive!

Mild remap Figo vs polo tsi.do a proper race with their two cars.but in my opinion Figo stock vs polo stock is only the winner is polo🔥

As proud as i am I am even prouder to know that i was among the last 5 buyers of Figo BLU (Mine being TDCi) before Ford decided to pull the plug.. Absolutely no remorse as i have something exclusive that no 1 can have even if they wanted.. For me, Figo is always better than Polo as it has a really good cabin space. Polo is cramped AF no matter how close it is to my heart

What are the figures for the remapped Figo ?

Probably around 125-135 bhp, with 250-270 Nm torque. Mostly stage 1.

What is point of comparison 1.ford is no longer available. 2.petrol with diesel Ps. The present polo tsi is the only sports hatchback avilable, only rival is xuv 300 . Rest all are fancy tinpots. I will rate polo tsi above, brezza, creta, seltos. And and go for polo anytime

Neither is polo available from now and shortly vw will leave India. The comparison is for the hot hatchback category and price at which sold.

@@gautamn08 Vw will not leave India atleast for next 4 years and they are satisfied for enough sales for Taigun and they are discontinuing Polo for it is based on old platform. VW said polo special edition for April 2023

@@someshwarhalewadimath3984 with a market share of less than 2% VW will mostly leave India sooner or later. They don't compromise on quality hence sales and service are pricey which Indians won't accept.

The polo driver should have shifted to 4th when you can see it close to redline in 3rd...the polo's turbo plays for a very little rpm range, might have made a slight difference by shifting to 4th
